Dave, Amna, and Canada,
Were any of you told to arrive an hour early before the interview to watch a video?
I already live in Houston so I didn't receive any travel information.

Hi pierce3215 - I had my interview for a Drilling Engineering position in early February so I can shed some light on this for you.
My interview was at 8AM and they requested that I get there at 7:30. Myself and one of the other candidates decided to take a cab from the Royal Sonesta rather than the Aramco shuttle as we thought the shuttle would be busy and didn't want to be late.
Upon arrival at ASC we checked in, received our visitor badges and then were escorted to the orientation area. There is a waiting room with a couple chairs and couches and drinks just outside of the orientation room. We were the first ones there and got to speak with a few of the ASC Staffing/On-Boarding personnel. They are VERY nice and made sure that our travel down and hotel were good.
After more of the candidates arrived we moved into the orientation room which holds about 30 people. There was about 15 of us there and shortly after the orientation started people were called out of the room one at a time for their interviews. Even though the email stated my interview was at 8AM I don't think I was actually interviewed until close to 11AM. The orientation essentially covers life in Saudi Arabia, what to expect, what to pack, schools, community overview, things to do in Saudi Arabia, etc. Basically, any questions you may have about how work/life happens in the Kingdom are answered. Even logistical questions about getting in/around KSA are answered.
After my interview everyone had already left for lunch. There is a massive cafeteria at ASC (one of the best I've ever seen actually) where they serve a large variety of food. Over lunch we discussed more about the hiring process and what to expect going forward. After lunch we returned to the orientation room to talk more about KSA. Myself and a couple of the other candidates needed to leave at 1:30 to catch our flight so we missed the end of the presentation. The parts that we did see were very thorough and very informative. They did paint a fairly rosy picture of KSA but they also stuck to the facts of life over there. I had close to 4 pages of hand written notes by the time that I got out of there. Most of the info I had already gotten from this forum but re-wrote it anyways to discuss it point-by-point with my wife.
This pretty wells sums up the day. Best of luck on your interviews, make sure you review any technical aspects of the position you've applied for.

Are interviews conducted in March as well? The jobsataramco.com website says that the event is in Feb-Mar/Houston, TX. Does that mean Feb AND March? I am assuming, I would have heard by now, if an interview was scheduled for March.

Pierce3215: I was also told today that my interview was successful! Congrats! My interview was also on March 6th. I do remember when the recruiter came to the meeting room and called your name for the interview.
Now let's wait for the next contact (hopefully the offer). Patience!

rayWhat role did you interview for? Most of the interviews were for non-IT related roles. I got a call for an interview from a third party for a IT role (Communication Engineer) but I refused because of single status.

hrehmanI applied for Network Architect position back in Sept 2013. I have received an email for Video interview call in Jan , after the video call , they wanted to setup something face2face . They asked me to come down to Houston in March first week . I believe you are right on position in other field, i notice the interviewer didn't ask me any technical question at all , it was all personal and personality questions . I am still waiting from their response . Thanks, Ray

Hi guys,
Nice to see this thread active again. I interviewed on Feb 25th in Houston and I thought the interview went well although it was quite short and informal. I did contact the recruiter last week but I have been told the response will be coming in 3-4 weeks. Wondering if someone else is in a similar boat?

o guys.
I am new here but I have been reading the posts for quite a while. It has been very useful to read everyone' s experiences. I am from Venezuela. I applied for a job on aramco's website December 2013 (eng. position). I got an email from aramco' s HR department to schedule a skype interview. I was interviewed on 2/27 by 2 saudi guys (a manager and a senior eng). The manager did not say anything just the introduction. The other guy did the whole interview. All 100% technical questions about my experience. It was about 20min long. Very informal. A week after that I contacted the HR lady from aramco to know what was the next step in this process. She said that everyone should get an email regarding the results from the interview. And that is still my status. I guess we have to be patient.
