Hi guys
I am a bit lost as to what is happening. I managed to find an Aramco Recruiter through LinkedIn. That person asked me to send the resume so he can forward it to the department. The person also told me that he will contact me directly if an interview is requested. This is around Jan 10.
I have not heard since.
The Aramco team is coming in Feb for interviews so I am a bit concerned that I have not been contacted yet.
My qualification and education are a perfect match as far as I concerned with the job that I have applied for.
Not sure what else can I do?
Thanks a bunch.

itsgonabeme - don't stress. Based on the stats from last year there were mulitple rounds of interviews depending on what group/team you'd be working on. There were people interviewed from late December to mid/late February. If things are any similar this year you still may have a shot. Fingers crossed for ya pal!

Thanks O&G
I got a response back from ASC saying that they will contact me directly if an interview is required from the department?
This is likely a typical response so what should I make of this?
Does anyone know that the interviews in February have started to take place? Any dates?
Thanks a lot.

Guys
I got an email from a recruiter which says that upon referral of my CV, Saudi Aramco have confirmed that they would like to see me for an interview. A representative from Saudi Aramco shall be in touch in due course to schedule the interview date and time. The approximate timeline is around Feb 24 for interviews.
My concern is that I got a similar type of response last year and no one from Aramco contacted me for the interview.
What should I make of this.
Is there enough time to schedule an interview?
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks a million.

Thanks for sharing the info. Did you get this email from a recruiter within Aramco Houston office or from a recruiter outside of Aramco Houston office.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I got the email from a recruiter who is outside of Aramco. They told me that someone from Aramco will contact me to schedule an interview.
Thanks

But my question is not for me, a friend who is a drilling engineer, who is out the city now (on site) was request and sent his CV to a recruiter agency about a month ago, they sent back an application form asking for more info and said he was reccomended for a position, however he has not received any info from this person, does this mean he is not been consider for the upcoming interviews? He is not member of the forum yet, and has limited internet access on site, he just called me and ask that, and I got blank, can you give me an insight about what to say? Thanks a bunch

I am from the US and I have applied to a job on the Aramco website that I see that my qualifications and education is perfectly matching the job requirements in Dec 2013. However, I haven't heard back from the ASC yet !!. I see that you guys are directly getting in touch with recruiters that help passing your resume to the departments in Saudi Arabia and getting you to the interviews..... any hint where I can get in touch with recruiters that can help me get some visibility (whether on linkedin or other)?
please advise....
Thanks for the help

Everyone please do a search for "timeline" on the forum. The time between each stage of the hiring process is posted by many. You will see the time that you are waiting is perfectly normal. *************************
Everyone please remember: a person's name and/or contact information cannot be posted in this public forum unless you have their permission and state that you have that permission.
Thank you!

Thanks vpainter for the info. one more thing though....is it true that in case of resume not accepted or not qualified enough Aramco normally sends out an email to inform the applicant about this ?. Therefore, if the applicant has not received such an email then this would be a good indicator that the resume is being considered and it is just a matter of time till he/she hears back from the recruiters with information about the next steps ?
Thanks again

I had my interview for a geoscience position yesterday (12 Feb 2014) in Houston. There were two interviewers, and we talked for about one hour. They had a conference call scheduled. It seemed to go well. They asked about specific experiences on my resume, then asked some open-ended questions on what specific things I had done. Then the lead hiring manager outlined many useful aspects of the program he was hiring for, and how it fit into the Kingdom's broad plans for the next 15 years. They asked me why I was considering a move to KSA...seemed like they were trying to weed out the "tire kickers" and not waste time with folks who aren't ready to go.
While interviews were being conducted, a very nice, very informative lady conducted an orientation session that ran the whole morning. I learned a lot of things that I didn't already know from someone who lived in DHA from 1996-2012. Apparently, they conduct the same session when couples return to get their medical exams.
From conversations with other candidates there, it sounds like a very high percentage of those who get physical interviews get offers. Can any experienced folks comment on this?
Thanks!!

tyoussef, it seems to depend on the department doing the interviews. Some deptartments do send out an email saying you were not chosen, others do not.
Resumes are kept and looked at for other positions that a person could be qualified for. There have been those who were contacted a year later and they had not reapplied. Others never hear a thing.
