Updated. Interesting fact, but from what I understand somewhat normal, the job and location that I interviewed for was not the one I was made the offer for. I will now have to research the difference between living in Dhahran and Ras Tanura.
Offered Position: Program Development & Evaluation yst (CHANGED) Department: Program Development and QA (CHANGED) Location: Ras Tanura (CHANGED) Online Resume Submission to Career Site/Recruiter: November 2012 Follow-up email from Houston ASC recruiter: Jan 24, 2013 Houston Interview conducted: Saay, Feb. 16th, 2013 Email Offer Received: Mar 18, 2013 FedEx Offer Received: Medical and BI paperwork mailed to ASC: Relocation Adviser assigned: Received Benefits/direct deposit/Visa app/other paperwork packet: Houston orientation and Medical: Visa Medical Cleared: BI Started: Reference Check for BI: Medical & BI cleared: Visa application approved: Departure date:

CP, Yes! I got my FedEx package the next day (March 19th). It did contain a few more items including the BI and Medical packages. Some of the information has to be turned around within seven days, and the rest can be sent later. They sent two separate FedEx return envelopes to facilitate this process. Although I posted it elsewhere, I thought I would paste some thoughts here as well:
My advise to those who are still waiting for offers: make sure you actually can lay hands on all the necessary documents you will need. I thought I had everything, but got a few surprises. These include (1) marriage and/or birth certificates for dependents regardless of if they are going with you or not as they will be covered by health insurance. (2) education documentation to include BOTH transcripts and diplomas. I am not sure why they would want a copy of the diploma when they have a transcript but that is they way it is listed. (3) employment records i.e. pay stubs, contracts, names, addresses, departments, phone numbers etc. going back at least 7 years. It is my understanding that the more actual documentation you can provide, the less time and effort the BI will take.

For what it's worth, and following from the post above, my relocation advisor specifically requested my diploma, which I've misplaced. I had provided both sealed official transcripts and original verification of degree. It'll take 45-60 days to get the replacement diploma.
If you (global you ,not directed at anyone in particular) don't have yours, it may be worth ordering the replacement as early as possible to limit delays.

I have mine framed, under glass on the wall with no way to remove it without damaging the framing job. I took a high resolution picture, printed it out and and then had it notarized by a lawyer as a true copy of the original. I must have looked pretty odd carrying a bunch of framed documents into a lawyer's office but it was sufficient for this process to be completed.

My replacement won't take that long but the cost is worth going through all my boxes one more time. My university considers the diploma a "souvenir" that carries no true weight. I guess someone could go to one of the many companies that offer "official reproductions" at a cost and even with next day service... NOT! However, if a simple photocopy is all they need and the notarized copy process that gbhatia went through is not required, what would keep someone from doing this? That is why the "sealed official transcript" mailed directly from the university to the company representative is the only tried and true method.
I have requested specific guidance on this so we will see what the real requirement ends up being. In the mean time, I know what I will be doing in the basement of boxes for the next few days

I would also point out that here in Canada at least, many Universities are part of the AURADATA network which allows prospective employers and government agencies to verify degrees online. That is why it is important to have the correct name (spelling etc) as used during University attendance period as well as the student id number. Otherwise mismatches can occur which cause delays / flags. The easiest way to do that is to have a copy of the degree in hand for comparison purposes so that may be why a photocopy suffices. Note that permission must be given by the prospective employee for AURADATA to process the request (part of the background check forms). And from what I saw on their website, employees cannot use it to verify their own degree as its by subscription only

I just got an email to submit my pay stubs. Just to my information. When they need my university. Degree, do they check it online or sending notarized copy of degree and transcript is enough?

You send your copies to Aramco in Houston. They do the checking based on what you've submitted. It may or may not be online but it's left to them (and the contracting company they use) to verify your submissions.

Hi everyone... Got the offer.. Yesterday ... A package full of paperwork and they gave 7 days to respond with weekend in between. Donny questions.. Appreciate if some one of you can answer ASAP. 1: Offer indicates position as Engineer 1.. Do any one know what are the position categories. Is this some thing too low in the rank? Or high? 2: Offer mentioned work location as Dhahran.. Did not mention residence location? Is it most likely Dhahran also.. I have asked recruiter and waiting for response. 3: The offer indicates base monthly salary + expatriate premium+ estimated adjusted overseas cost differential + cash in lieu benefits I believe this includes all which I will be getting. How does this comparable to what I get inCanada? I mean RRSP and stocks.. For comparison purposes I am including all that I earn including RRSP etc - taxes and then compare to what they offering. Is this right comparison ? Also I hear many says you get one month salary as rotation allowance .. My offer don't mention that.. Is this something that comes later when relation advisor is assigned or it should be part of offer? I will appreciate if some one of you can answer few or all of these. ASAP. Thanks USJD

Oilsand- They have asked for your pay stubs; that is all you need to submit. The degrees, etc., come later, after the formal offer. From what I've seen, the pay stubs request is a good sign (but not a guarantee) that you'll get an offer. Mine took a good 3 weeks after I sent in the stubs, but you can look at one of my other posts to see avee times for others in the forum.
Good luck.

I have submitted my 2 pay stubs, does this mean the offer is coming or still there might be a chance that I didn't clear the interview?
What paper works is required for BI and medical? Can we prepare ahead to avoid delay for BI?
