Here is the response I received via email from a member of the John Hopkins Joint Venture: An official online site for JHAH job postings is in the production stage but not yet operational. The HR goal is to be advertising and hiring by the end of April. In the meantime people interested in working for JHAH can send their resume to Healthcare.JV@aramco.com. The HR team is collecting the resumes and will contact the individuals once jobs are being advertised (approx. April 2014).

Does this mean that previous applicants on hold need to re-apply to be considered?

Seems like progress has been made and we have a but more idea of timeline .
Should one apply online or just send cv to the email address ? I presume they are both being collected by same dept.

emailed my old recruiter in Houston last week b/c there are JHAH positions posted on the Johns Hopkins International Medicine jobs site...I was hoping this was a sign that things were coming together. He said (as have others here) that HR is still getting set up and to check back with him after May 1. I have applied to a couple other positions on the Aramco website and on the J Hopkins site- nothing has come of any of it thus far, but the original position I applied for has not been reposted..or anything resembling it.
Thanks for posting that email address for resume submission! I'm going to go ahead and send mine in, fiugre it can't hurt. I'll try anything at this point!

waitekatieIts difficult to know what to do a this stage, some of the decision may depend on if you are awaiting an answer after having attended an interview or if you have just applied for a position when JHAH merger occurred. If you have not had an interview as yet then I can't see why reapplying would be detrimental however if you have had an interview then that confuses the issue even more.

Well I haven't technically reapplied to anything since the position I orignially applied to has yet to be reposted. I have applied to other positions, which my recrutier in Houston told me was fine. I had a phone interview and was told verbally that I'd be receiving an offer...but that offer has never materialized due to all the JV business. Granted, I have never been told that I won't be getting an offer. It's just never ending delays like everyone else.
My strategy was to apply to something non-healthcare so it wouldn't be affected by the JV and then transfter to a different position once the JV got sorted out.

If you are allowed to transfer. Your supervisor would have to sign off on a transfer, some will, some won't.

Transferring out of SAMSO is extremely difficult. Ive known people with masters degrees in other fields who were denied transfer (some even more qualified for the other position than their existing position). Apply for the job(s) you want, but dont apply 'to get your foot in the door' and expect a transfer upon arrival .

o everyone, i have few quick points being a new member in the forum who read the whole post, and i hope to be also a new member at JHAH sooner or later; - * i heard from a nurse working at Aramco hospital that "nothing will take place befor June/July 2014, and i wonder talking about April ", is that true ?!
- * you are talking about an European office and US office, what about KSA office ?!, is there any for who are -as me- living in KSA recently ?
- * do you have any ideas about nationalities allowed ? (if there is any)
- * will they continue the residency programs for physicians and surgeons ?
- * clearly, what can we do right now meanwhile ?!, emailing?, visiting?, calling?!
regards,

Since the JH Joint Venture is evolving. My source in the hospital system said end of April. That could easily be moved to June or July.
Since the hiring process is changing from Aramco's Samso to the JHJV, you will probably be on hold no matter if you are in KSA or another country. Their hiring process is being set up for everyone.
Nationality as far as I know has not been an issue, unless you were trying to come from the country that is not on any map in KSA.
There has never been a residency program for expat physicians and surgeons here. All expat doctors are expected to be fully qualified to work here. That may be something JHJV changes, but would probably be a long time coming.
There is nothing you can do except send your resume to the email address I posted. They are not ready to talk to anyone. They are collecting resumes for when they do start making contact.

My husband had an interview early summer then Aramco announced about joint venture with Johns Hopkins. He was hoping to get offer soon but everything has stopped since joint venture situation. But I saw in other thread that someone who applied a job through Aramco JH recently, got schedule for interview. So that means Has JH HR department already started? I think many people who applied medical/dental job last year have same circumstance like my husband. Does anyone get any update or job offer from new joint venture? We've been waiting for almost a year..

@ kashi
That sounds positive if people are being scheduled for interview. This indicated HR is becoming functional and the timeline stated in this thread before about responces potentailly in the end of April may be reasnoable. The people who have been interviewed just have to sit and wait in the hope an offer is directed to them.
Good Luck

Indeed that is a positive development.
I did email last week my cv to the email address that vpainter provided us on this thread. I did receive an email response stating that cvs are being collected and HR processes and job postings are expected to be happening later this month. Its seems to be around the corner hopefully.
