Does any body have updates about the joint venture?
Is it really ready to start at the beginning of January.

I think no news at all. It starts in Jan so I assume they will take couple of months to familiarize themselves before making decisions regarding employment. Also I am unsure if they become employing authority they might want to judge candidates themselves. Also what changes they make in contracts? And what happens to current workforce? So just waiting game.  |

The joint venture will officially start around Feb 1-2.
There has been no news on hiring, pay, benefits packages, etc for existing or new employees. Right now we're all in limbo.

Just checked the ARAMCO jobs website yesterday. All but a few of the medical job opportunities have been removed. I find it unlikely that so many people have signed contracts at the same time. I had been on hold, so at the moment I can only assume I have not been selected.

More than likely the jobs have been removed because they are on hold until the joint venture begins.

@hash. You are right. Jobs are removed from the website. But I think they will come back once venture begins. We all are in the same waiting boat. I think venture starts in January, so hope and wait for few weeks before decisions starts to come thru for definite. Good luck to all of us.

I had my interview with ARAMCO in the London office around august 2013 (...long time ago) for the family physcian post, correct me if I am wrong but I believe you have applied for the same post. I was wondering if you have got any further with them? I called the office and was informed that all unsuccessful candidates would have been informed by now.

drfarooq1. I am also very interested in the latest with SAMSO - JHI. Is there any way you could PM me as well? I am from the US and have applied and interviewed for a dental specialty position, but haven't gotten any updates from ASC for 3-4wks now.

bcd2801May I know which position have you interviewed for? Back in September 2013, I was interviewed in Houston for a position in the same category (board certified specialist). The interview went very well, but I was told all new contracts and offers will be sent out after the new management of John Hopkins start in 2014. I was not given anytime frame and I was advised to be patient because doing business with the Saudis take time. I was also informed that no one knows yet if the new venture will offer different benefit packages that what Aramco offered in the past, and whether new hires will be considered Aramco employees or not. Since we are already in 2014, i'm not sure if it's appropriate to ask ASC again regarding the expected time-frame for receiving an official offer.
