We have received our passports back last night! Our flights will be Nov 29th with KLM (Royal Dutch airline) from Calgary to Amsterdam to Dammam. We will be traveling with our 2 yrs old son. If you have ever flew with them, we would appreciate some feedbacks...
We do not have final arrangement for housing, but our package included informations on Abqaid and Dhahran Tower... I think both of these housing options are pretty full though and hoping for Radium. Time will tell, I guess.
We are super excited and looking forward to being in KSA !

o calvway KLM is a good airline but i don't like their food just pack some crackers and biscuits as a snack just in case. on the other hand the airport in Amsterdam is children heaven we enjoyed it every time we flew there. They have a couple of play area and comfy couch. A quiet room with cribs for babies and toddlers to sleep. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

This is really an informative and great discussion forum, I have been reading and learned a lot here, great job Admins and contributing members.
I was interviewed via video conference in Calgary on 18th September 2014 and since then I am waiting for a response. I called the recruiter in Houston and she told me that they have put a hold on my decision as they are trying to complete the interviews, recently she updated that they are conducting interviews at Houston and then will go to London next week, I am not sure if they only called the remaining people whom they did not interview via video conference or they called only the short listed one, the recruiter didn't answer that and just said they have not dropped me from the list, so I am just waiting patiently as that what I have learned by going through this forum.

I received bad news from the Houston office. I had everything done, the company was waiting for me but I did not get my visa because I had previous military experience on my resume which I was upfront and provided the embassy with my military record. The company tried to appeal on my behalf but nothing happened. When you fill up the visa form, there is one question asking if you have ever served in the military which I answered yes and this piece of information blocked me to obtain a visa. Also note I served in the military as a finance officer which is a support role. I am deeply disappointed because I wanted so much to work for the company. I want to thank everybody from Saudi Aramco who provided a lot of support and they were shocked as well with this new condition.

to Cdncamper:
I agree with the above post. it's not the end of the world and just move on to other chapters of life. I do feel the frustration and disappointment though after going through the lengthy process it did not come to fruition.
