Hi, I've not been able to find a timeline specific to pilots on the forum. Apologies if this is a repeated question...and I know there is no "normal" timeline b/c everyone's is different.
Just wondering if there are any pilots on the forum who are willing to say how long it was between interview date and initial offer of employment?
Thanks!

MeghanBrady: from what I have seen on this forum, I don't think the job role has anything to do with the timeline. Rather, the timeline seem to depend on: 1. How keen the department is to recruit for the role - this obviously will determine how quickly they would arrange the interviews 2. Availability of visa block 3. Time it takes for you to clear the contigencies: BI, including Criminal Records Check, Medical, etc. 4. Whether your application overlaps with the holiday period (e.g.) Ramadan period Good luck

o Friends, I had my interview in Houston in 3rd week of October and still waiting to hear back. The recruiter told me that it is in waiting mode. Anyone has any updates of recent hiring process? Has it been slow down lately.

Dear all, I confirm there is no "normal" timeline, so here's my very unusual and unlucky timeline, to keep you all hoping that everything eventually works out... August 2014: receives unsolicited message from Aramco UK to interview September 2014: interview in London October 2014: offer received and accepted. Cleared all medical and background screening in London End November 2014: visa issued by KSA consulate in London. Contacted by ## asking to relocate within 3 weeks! I declined and asked to postpone because it was clashing with my notice period. January 2015: New ## assigned. She explained that the initial visa block was wrong! (le engineer, to which I do not qualify in KSA). So my visa is cancelled and a new visa block has to be issued  February 2015: 2nd visa medical in London (expires every 3 months) April 2015: new visa block issued... but for Paris consulate instead of London consulate April 2015: 3nd visa medical (in Paris because previous one in London is different?!) September 2015: 4th visa medical Mid-September 2015: I'm informed by the visa agent in Paris that my file is going back and forth between them and the consulate, as Aramco and the Consul do not agree on the procedure... End Octobre 2015: my visa is finally stamped in my passport!... oops, the consulate used the wrong line on the visa block! and they're refusing the cancel it and re-issue it  Another month of back and forth communication between Aramco and the Consul, who finally "agrees" to correct the mistake Mid-November 2015: visa is issued and correct!... yeah... oops initial background screening + Health Questionnaire are expired (1 year validity), Aramco UK has to reinitiate the whole process. :? End of November 2015: green light!!! Relocation date December 29, 2015 Keep the faith, it can be very very long and can look like an endless adventure, but it can finally happen.

Hi all, this is my first post here. When I read some of the timelines, yes, I can see that patience is a requirement. I had an interview in October and to date I haven't heard a yes or no. I have to take that as a positive sign for now, as I understood it, if it was a definitive no, I would have been told one to two weeks after interview. Fingers and toes are crossed for positive news very soon. Quality work is starting to become few and far between, and I am keen to be busy again and involved in exciting projects. Best rgds

Does anyone have any updates with regard to either their own time line or someone else whom they know?
ASC contacted me in March and I had my interview in late April. Positive feedback received, but no offer. Seems like I should wait at least 3-4 weeks for the offer (if there is one) and then 3-4 months after that? Is this the current timeline?
Why does the BI take so long? If someone has lived in one city their entire life and have all their educational records, police records, court records, and employment within the same city, why would it not be done in 2-3 days as it is when applying for a domestic job? Are there some unconventional aspects to the Aramco BI? I had a friend who had joined a US federal agency, and their BI took like 3 months - but they went and spoke to his neighbors in person and had some other strange criteria, so I'm wondering if that's what Aramco does, or does it just take long since there is a queue?

Timeline for me... I interviewed in October. At the end of January, I got an email asking for a few pieces of info.
Two weeks later, I was offered the position and accepted. I received final clearance about two weeks ago now. I'm leaving for KSA on May 22nd.
It takes a long time. BI for SA are former government people in some cases, and they are equally as thorough. It takes time, but use that time to start making arrangements. You'll want it.
