We have another Eid coming up so things might slow for a couple of weeks. Be patient. After this Eid, it will be business as usual for many months.

We're also in the last few of weeks leading up to the Hajj (8th-12th of Dhul Hijjah), so the poor consular staff are probably inundated with a backlog of last-minute Hajj visa applications. For reference, Eid is on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, insha, and today is the 20th of Dhul Qa'dah. We all better get used to the Hijri calendar

That's funny you post that about the calendar... our Relo Advisor just sent us the next package of paperwork around shipping and the guide and such. There is an "estimated time of arrival in KSA of Oct 30th". I was thinking to myself that is extremely aggressive considering the holiday and the Radium incident.
I would love to be mobilized that quickly, but wow... its a bit overwhelming if we are that close. So much to do!

ToesInTheSand,
In the same boat we are.. it seems! We had our orientation on Sep 16th as well, in Houston. Coincidentally, we are also waiting on BI and Medical results; though we did receive the "Visa" medical approval.
This I suppose is the hardest part.. waiting at the starting line.. wanting to begin the marathon of packing, listing house, saying goodbye's (temporarily), moving, etc.
Exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time.

Great news received today! We were cleared to submit for visa. Apparently BI and Medicals are all good.
I dropped off the passports with relo advisor this morning. New anticipated mobilization to Rakah is late November.
Time to put the house up for sale!

o,
The Saudi Aramco team were in London for Unconventional Group interviews (not sure if other groups were also present) the following week before returning to Saudi I think.
Was told unofficially by recruiter 2 weeks for feedback, which tallies with many (but not all) timelines I have read. As the two week point hasn't arrived for me yet, nothing to report I am afraid.
This is an assumption on my part, but I assume if the interview wasn't successful and you weren't even to be put on hold, this would be told to you pretty quickly i.e. before 2 weeks?
Out of interest, if you don't mind me asking, have you received any feedback yet?
