Hi Folks
Thanks for everyone's input into this forum. Here is my timeline for Bus Sys yst II position:
Initial contact from recruiter: Feb-5-14 Interview request from AOC: May-15-14 Payslips, completed application form and additional info submitted: May-19-14 Interview at AOC in London: Jun-6-14 Offer received: Jun-12-14 - GC13, Global payroll, Family Status: Wife & 2 boys (11 & 9) BI/Medical docs submitted: Jun-17-14 Mass of other documentation submitted: Jun-24-14 Visa medical in London: Jul-7-14 Passports submitted: Sep-07-14 Passposts stamped with Visa: Sep-09-14 (was very quick!) Final clearance: Sep-11-14 Predeparture orientation: Sep-26-14 Departure date: Nov-12-14
Some notes: My relo rarely replied to email queries but was always available to phone. There's quite a lot of paperwork to be submitted after the intial offer. I was never offically told that I'd passed my BI and Medical. My departure date could have been much earlier, e.g. end of Sep14 - I just have things to sort out at home, and work most of my notice period. The school had an issue about the immunisations for my youngest son (9). I'm still not sure if this has been fully resolved. For UK based applicants at least, Harley Medical seem to take care of the degree attestation etc and I've had no problems.
I'm hoping the PDO that I'll attend this week will clarify any other queries I, and in particular my wife, may have.
All in all I'd say the process has gone fairly smoothly, and quicker than I'd thought.
Happy to reply to any queries.
Cheers

o All, Many thanks to the wonderful people here & all the help that this forum has provided us. It has so much information and definitely makes the wait seem a lot shorter (every time I get anxious I just come back here, it's good to know that so many people are on the same boat lol). We've decided to share our timeline as our mini contribution. My husband is a G12, Supply Chain yst, processed by ASC Houston. February 2014 - application submitted via Aramco jobsite. June 9 2014 - on-site interview in Houston June 11 2014 - contingent offer received July 23 2014 - visa Medical & Orientation Sept 24 2014 - visa le received & passport submitted to be stamped Oct 30 2014 - ETD From our experience it seems like every RA handles cases differently. Our RA never responds her calls (she even told us she doesn't bother checking them because she gets so many calls). But when we do e-mail her, she will respond. Most of the times if it's regarding FAQ's, she will answer in a few days. We've asked her for advise on a few urgent matters and she replied right away. No matter what happens, just be nice and respectful to your RA...that always seem to help. We were never told when the BI was cleared. Overall it seems to be a pretty smooth ride, so we are very grateful! Looking forward to meeting you all in KSA!!

v painter,I have a question, if the recruiter tells you that your offer has been put on hold for until next year, does that in any way mean that it has been rejected or has it actually been put on hold? Do you know of anyone who has experienced that before and then received the offer later? If they have already sent you an email congratulating you that your interview was successful and wait for the offer now and then few months later the recruiter, when contacted tells you that it has been put on hold till next year what are the odds of you getting the offer? Should we still be hopeful?

I was told by my RA that all applicants "in process" will have to be in KSA before the end of 2014. I was wondering is anyone else received same info. I am still awaiting visa le.

Dears:
I was interviewed in April this year for an IT Systems Engineer, I was contacted by Aramco HR to Submit an NOC(Because I based in KSA). I submitted my NOC to the person who interviewed me(Because he asked me to do so).
But last I got a call from a recruitment company to submit my documents, Degree, passport copy etc. I am bit confused because I the person in Aramco told me its a direct aramco vacancy then why this recruitment company came in between?
Do we have such examples where such recruitment companies are involved ?

Houston called this morning with stamped US passports. It took 8 days from receiving the visa le. They want to book tickets today and suggested either the 13th or the 20th of Nov. They expect Rakah but advised we should get there soon in case that changes.
That will be 9 months from first contact by a recruiter. We're doing the happy dance!

Just received final clearance letter today. Passports are stamped and we'll be heading over next month. I'll be working on RT but have not been notified of a housing assignment yet. Movers are scheduled for Feb 13th. I'll be traveling over with my family: wife and 2 daughter (3 month old and 3.5 year-old). We're super excited! Thank you all for the wealth of knowledge and all the advice.
