Once the BI is cleared both in the US and Saudi, I would also like to know what the Visa process(post Visa le) entails. Does the KSA still conduct a hasty BI of their own, or is it a formality at that point?

My passport has been at the Houston consulate for about 3 weeks but still not stamped. I believe there is a delay due to Eid holiday and visa requests for Hajj.
Has anyone recently had theirs stamped after the Eid Holiday (after August 05)?

Aramco is usually flexible. They understand having to work out your notice and baby deliveries. It has only been if your position is a critical one that needs you immediately. Then talk to your supervisor and go home for the delivery. You will have to pay your own way and probably won't get paid for the time off.

Greetings fellow WOVers!!!
I wanted to post an update on this "Timeline" thread. Today is my 1 year anniversary from being contacted by ASC to come in for an interview. Since then, it has been a long road of interviews, offer letter, documents, waiting, background and medical retakes, more waiting, and finally... waiting. :?
My family and I are hoping all this waiting pays off. We're staying the course and hopefully will see you all soon! Insh!

Congratulations fsaeed81!
Once you had your visa, how was your relocation date determined? Did you have any input on your date and was there any flexibility?
Thanks, Tom

Amna, at the moment were slated for Rakah, but my relocation advisor said she will confirm 6 days prior to flight.
We're on US payroll; I'm hoping we do end up in Rakah and not DT

anctjt,
I was given a time frame of about 10 continuous days to choose from. Very flexable. These days took my resignation time and a few extra days for packing into consideration.

o Aramco Expats -
Several posts have been written regarding departure date flexibility, but I thought I would present my situation.
I am going through ASC Houston. I was notified on 9/17/2014 that my Visa le has been secured, and for me to submit my Passport (which I did immediately). I was told that after my Passport is submitted to the consulate, it would take around 10 business days for the Visa to be issued (beginning of October).
I am thrilled to go and start on this new chapter! But as I am single and leaving my family behind, I would like to spend Thanksgiving with my mom. I don't want to ask too much from my future employer, but would anybody foresee a December 1st departure date as asking 'too much?'

You could contact your relocater and ask them to wait to put the visa in your passport immediately, but to put it in allowing you time to spend Thanksgiving with your mom.
Once your visa has been placed in your passport, there is then a time table for how long that visa is good for. If you do not take it, then you will be waiting again for a visa. When you receive your visa, it should tell you how long you have to use it. Of it is 90 days, you should be able to have Thanksgiving with your family. If it is less, you have a decision to make. Take it and use it or wait for a new one, no teeling how long that will take in today's visa block requirements.
