Your offer could come in under what your pay stubs say you make, at that point resubmit them and a request for an increase. The offer could come in equal to your current pay, you determine if that is good for you. Many times the take home pay comes out more because of tax situations, etc. or they have been known to offer more than you are currently paid. All these are currently what is happening in Aramco offers, no one can say where you will be in those offers.
The GC has mostly to do with the le of the position, some le GC's also associate years of experience to the le. Aramco has assigned a GC to every position le within the company. A GC 12 could have people with 10 years experience and people with 20 years experience, they could be in different areas of the company but the le they have has a GC 12 assigned to it.

vpainterMany thanks for the prompt reply. How many gc grades are there? What is the highest and as part of a counter offer can you ask for a higher grade? Will that allow for a higher salary or are there bands within the salary ? And what happens if you already have submitted pay stubs which show you are paid net of tax anyway? Does aramco offer a sign on bonus or will they compensate you if you are going to forgo annual bonus because you are joining them ? Thanks in advance

GCs have salary bands. A higher grade isn't necessarily more money. Grades are tied to the le. Salary band specifics may not be known... if they are, they are not discussed in open forum. I submitted my pay slip twice. Many people don't negotiate at all. I had two counters. If you choose to negotiate, your process will be unique to you. Only thing I can recommend is that if your offer is less than your current base, resubmit your pay slip with your written counter.
I have not heard of anyone getting a signing offer. Maybe at the executive level, I don't know. The thing to remember is to look at the offer in terms of discretionary income. There are many things that contribute to your income such as salary premium, annual bonuses, C&S (commodities and services) difference. repatriation, generous tax protections, and other perks like housing benefits, school assistance, and insurance covee.
Bluewire, you're asking very common questions which have been answered many times before. Do yourself a favor and use the search on the site. There's a wealth of information on this site.

lin1971, Did you mean that your background and medical evaluations were completed within 3 days of mailing them, or that ASC confirmed that the packets were complete and the evaluation commenced within 3 days of mailing the packets in?

Hi Shammal,
Yes, my background and pre medical eval were completed within 3 days. According to my relo, that was the fastest she has ever seen since she started working for ASC. But I thought BI and pre med eval shouldn't take too long anyway. I am not sure. It's just my timeline and I guess everyone is different.

o All,
In my efforts to contribute here's my timeline for HR position...
Call from headhunter - Nov 2013 Interview (Houston) - Feb 2014 Offer extended/accepted - Mar 2014 Pre Medical paperwork mailed- Apr 2014 Orientation and Visa Medical completed (Houston) - June 30, 2014 Estimated Departure: Sept 2014
I've been told there are roughly 60 to 70 ppl currently waiting for Houston departure and Aramco is hoping the next 2 visa blocks will clear the que. Exactly when those visa blocks are expected??? Who knows...
I was informed there was a huge que last year (roughly 100 people) from Houston which resulted in some people waiting up to 18 months to relocate. I hope this time doesn't get as bad.

o fellas,
I was wondering if receiving Visa le would mean that all other contingencies (BI,Medical, School, Housing, etc) are clear? I was informed by ASC, TX. that my visa le was received and was asked to mail my passport, so any other surprises expected down the road? My kids are starting schools here in 2 weeks and I should be paying large bucks by that time, so I could really use some help to make a decision. Unfortunately I can't get any response from my RA. and I understand how busy they are just from the load I can sense reading through the forum.
Thanks in advance
