Can anybody advise on the following please:
When Aramco send you initial offer do they also confirm children school admission/confirmation at a same time? At which point they confirm children school admission?
At which stage they confirm that where will be the work and accommodation location?

The written offer will state location of work and accommodation.
Your children will not be considered for the schools until you have accepted the offer and filled out paperwork that the school reviews and accepts or declines to accept each child.

I don't believe all offers are stating the residence location. Ours only outlined the work location and the agent advised we are down for Abqaiq, the school forms for our children also state Abqaiq. Not sure if the new Global payrole offer is different. Has anyone else found this?? :?:

In my case was exactly the same, only stated work location in the offer. With school clearance I got to know that residence its problably Dhahran. But I'll only know when the travel date is set, due shortage of availability of houses at the moment. And I'm on GLobal payroll.

o again to All,
Anybody interviewed in 2014 for Loss Prevention position and got feedback/response from Aramco yet?
I've got an email today saying that my application was put on hold.
What could this mean positive/negative?
Cheers.

Would have to agree with "residence location" statements of late. It was NOT included in the offer in November and in December (1/2), I was told that I would be located in Abqaiq. Since so much time has lapsed waiting for a visa block, my medical has expired, requiring a re-do locally (in Canada) and I expect that there will be last week, if not last minute changes to accommodation in Kingdom. It is going to be dependent upon how many new hires are arriving at the same time, their respective compositions (family, single, etc.) and the number of departures, relocations, renovations, and even new builds. Truly, with everything else going on and so very few concrete answers, I am finding it something of a "release" to simply sit back and wait. I personally am happy with the remuneration, the package in total and since there is NOT one single thing that I can do to move the process forward, will try to savour the last few weeks (or, gasp! months) in my home country. Despite the cold.

Thank you all for the input. I can totally understand them leaving the place of residence off finally, since they were being unable to follow through for some people. Why get people's hopes up for one place and they end up on another.
Anyone with a school clearance of Dhahran could be housed in Dhahran or Rakah. Both compounds go to Dhahran schools.

I would think after reading all of the posts, or even some of them in this forum, one might realize that there is no such thing as "normal", "avee" or even "reasonable" in terms of how long something might take. Please search for answers regarding timeline, visa, wait times, etc. to get an idea of the delays involved in working for Aramco. It is a convoluted and complicated process to be sure. Anyone who tells you what to expect, how long it will take, or even what the temperature will be when you arrive in Kingdom is talking out of his or her hat! Some have waited 2 or 3 years (or longer). Some have managed the whole process in months. It is NOT a reflection of your ability or qualifications. It is a measure of the bureaucracy, culture, and even the weather. The moderators of this forum do a fantastic job of answering questions about life in KSA, what to bring or discard from your current life, how to dress and behave in Kingdom, and even how to manage the negotiation of your personal contract...what they cannot do is tell you how long the process will take. No one can. Ever.
I have been moving through this long chain of employment for almost 10 months now and the only thing certain about it is that I want the job! Paperwork, medicals, visa delays, whatever. It will happen when it happens. Or not. As I mentioned in a previous post, there is NOT ONE THING that you can do to make it happen faster. And if you are not happy about the money, the culture, the lifestyle, or the process, there are alternatives.
Normally, I would ask if you want fries with that, but I won't do that this time...apologies if I sound smug or sarcastic.

Does anyone know if after you get the email saying "you have been recommended for an offer, please submit your paystubs," that you still have to wait for the "congratulations, you have been approved for an offer, please submit the following..." before getting the offer? Is that usually the next step or can the offer come without this email preceding it?

pierce3215,
It could be 2 months or two weeks; it could even take longer. Every case is different. From what I have observed personally and from the posts in this forum, the pay stubs are necessary to prepare the offer. Within that offer there is a TON of information and forms, some of which must be notarized or attested and some of which will be used to complete a comprehensive background investigation. Because it is extensive and complex, it takes some time to put it all together. You will likely receive a summary email when the offer package is almost ready -- probably a few days before you receive the hardcopy bundle.
Once you have reviewed the package entirely, you can choose to accept or refuse or negotiate the offer. If you accept, the vetting process begins and it is probable that you will be scheduled for an orientation & medical session. Once again, however, this can take weeks because it is likely that the ASC team would prefer to schedule a bunch of people together; you are not going to fly into Houston all by yourself!
After a successful background check and acceptable medical results, you will join the queue for a visa. That is where most of are right now. Waiting. Some more patiently than others, but still waiting. Take a few minutes and scroll back through the pages in this forum if you really want to get an idea of the wide variation in the timelines.

If you have submitted application and paystubs the offer pops up in email after it has been prepared. The time between paystub submittal and offer varies widely from weeks to months
