How can I attest Bangladeshi degrees, any idea. Will ASC do that for me. If not, how can I go ahead.
Thanks, Saiful

Hi Saiful123, We are close to the same timeframe. I started around late November 2013. I have posted my progress in this section. I am currently waiting only for my Background and then Visa. The medical has cleared and my wife and I have already completed our orientation and Houston has our passports. Have you contacted your Relocation advisor about the length of time she/he expects you will have to wait for your visa to arrive?

Hi Saiful123,
Talk to your relocation advisor about it. ASC has agencies they use for that purpose. My certificates were collected about a month ago for certification and I thought it took the agent about 3 wks to do. My certificates were from Africa and I believe the agency will be doing it for all countries on behalf of Aramco.

I am in the final stage of Background check which has been on going now for a month, ASC in London have applied for my 2nd passport. I have been on going with the process since Sept 13, with interview Dec 13, brief in London end Jan 14. They are still waiting for Visa Block to be lifted
Does anyone know how long the back ground checks will take as they have had all references both passed work and current employment, they have had extra medical letter's for a operation that I had 13 years ago, and confirmed fit for work.
Any news on the current Visa block
Heard from agency yesterday that they have been inform that all BI checks are completed and now waiting for Visa Block, will check with London early next week on news as new month so hope Visa will arrive soon.

I originally applied for a job in April 2012. I didn't hear anything for months, so I was surprised when I was contacted for an interview by a recruiter in September. A number of phone interviews and I got to the point of an offer. Mid-October, asked for pay stubs. The recruiter had told me when I asked that it was down to 2 of us. Now December, they took the other. No offer would be extended.
August 1, 2013, I get another request for an interview. I don't recall applying for another position, but I may have. Otherwise, I was contacted based on my profile already in their system. Anyway, Skype interviews with 3 different levels (peers, manager and director) through August and into Sept. Recruiter said I would be getting and offer. Then I got another request for an interview from another group. Seems that a sister group from the original wanted to interview me also and whichever was the better fit would make the offer. So, another interview mid-Sept. Verbal offer 10/2, email offer 10/4. Counter offer sent 10/6. Revised offer (1/2 of increase I asked for) emailed 10/9. Written offer accepted same day (10/11?) Background Investigation and medical paperwork sent another day or 2 later. Request for medical followup Nov. 5 completed within week. Went to Houston for the Orientation and Visa medical Nov. 12. Left passports there. The intention was to get me there by end of year. December 8 contacted by department to get paperwork for email started. December 17 informed I was waiting for a visa le and would not make it by year's end. January 29 contacted by logistics to set up packing date (Still no clearance?!?) January 31 Final clearance letter. It was only at this point that I learned that I passed the BI, medical and visa medical. Feb. 3 pack date arranged. Feb 11- packet with passports arrived TODAY Feb. 14- movers pack- Happy Valentine's Day! Feb 19 Wheels up Feb 21 arrive DMM!!!
Here are my take-aways. 1. Patience. You'll read and hear it ad nauseum, but it's the truth. 2. If you do not receive an offer initially, don't give up. Apply for other positions. The entire process from initial application took just shy of 2 years for me. 3.Accept ambiguity- You may not hear about any of the contingencies until the very end. Some people on the timeline learned about passing BI/medical early in the process. I did not. Also, the policies change constantly, so what advisors can share is limited.
I am absolutely PSYCHED that it's finally happening! Headed to Rakah, working in RT.
I have learned tons from people on this forum. It's a great resource. And I look forward to meeting some of the names in person.
Best to all.

Question for The Experts... Do you get a response from ASC if your resume is not considered for an interview? Thanks.

I've passed all contingencies and I am just waiting on the Visa. My Advisor turned in the Visa Request on Feb. 12th. I have received information from the move representative that they expect the Visa to be ready on the Feb. 22nd. After reading the posts, I am starting to worry that this may be very optimistic. I am at the very last stages and now getting nervous. Has anyone out there heard of anyone having their Visa denied or having the recinded at this late stage?

RickT,
If you're just waiting for the visa, that means that you have already receive your visa block before 12.02.2014, right ? Visas don't take to long to be issued, visa blocks are the main problem when dealing with the waiting.

Good to know. Houston has sent our passports to the Kingdom and I guess we are just waiting on the return. The wait is killing me. Patience..Patience...Patience.
