Aside from requesting your passport, was any other information or direction given to you at the time you received the good news? Were they comfortable estimating a start date and willing to book your tickets?

Today I asked my ASC relocation advisor if I definitely was not included in this last Visa block and they said that mine could come any day.
I was also waiting on contingencies but learned that they had already cleared and I just wasn't notified.

Quite happy as I have been told late in the evening that I have received my visa block and should immediately submit my passport. My timeline is great:
Interviewed: Late June
Offer received: within 48 hours
Accepted: Immediately
Medical and BI completed in July
Visa block received: 20 August 14
Department: Finance
Dealing office: AOC
I received this e-mail late in the evening, I hope lot of UK people will have happy day tomorrow.

Hi Fellow Wovers,
My visa le was not included in last visa block. I continue to wait with patience.
Here is my short timeline.
Online Application - May 2013
Interview - Sep 2013
Contingencies cleared - Nov 2013
Have been waiting for visa block since then.

Soooo Thursday again and no news for the visa block!!! :cry:
After a chat with my reloc adv last Thursday I was expecting an update by the end of the week from AOC London. Although, still nothing! If anyone has info for the visa block release date please share...

I got finally the expected call I've been waiting for 8 months now !!
My visa le as finally be released !!!!
For all my fellow wovers keep calm and wait for the news that will arrive shortly as AOC London is shortening the list of the received visa block and soon they will contact you.
Keep calm because your relocation advisers are busy and they will eventually give you the great news.
Things are moving and all we wovers all finally getting your passports stamped.

I am a WOVer no more! I knew the day I finally unpacked everything (for the 3rd time actually), that I would get the call. Sure enough, Monday I reorganized my closet and bought new items for the house, and Tuesday I got the email that my le had arrived. My le delay has actually been a blessing. Throughout my 15-month wait I have been praying for guidance regarding my relationship. Three weeks ago the truth was revealed and I was set free! Now I can go to Saudi and create the life *I* want! For those that are still waiting, have faith that there is a reason -- and you shall be rewarded for your patience. Thank you to all who have vented, encoued, inspired, and endured with me during this process. Since I am the one who coined the term WOVer, it seems only right that I throw a big party for all WOVers. Just read my username in a mirror and look me up.  Bless! Update: I will be arriving November 9. |

You have a great point of view on how things happen. has a plan for us, regardless of our plans, 's will overrides. I'm very glad things have worked out for you. At the end of the day, happiness is what matters most and I'm glad you've found yours.

o - congrats to those who have been hearing good news on visa blocks!!! I spoke to my ra and she confirmed that visa les were received, and that she would check and get back to me ... So now I am waiting for her reply!!! Does anyone else have any news in visa blocks  Thanks |
