Just got a reply from rel. adv. in London who confirmed that they are still waiting for the new visa blocks.

Hi Wovers,
nothing news from the ASC regarding to Block visa i guess that the next block visas should be soon for the people that have long time waiting, just for shared with the newcomers and wovers my timeline:
First contact with SA: June 2013 (14 months)
Interview: July 2013 (13 Months)
Offer: October 2013 (11 Months)
BI and Medical : January 2014 (7 Months)
Visa le: -------

Again ... what function are you going to?
Last I heard was that ASC issues visa's to those going to finance, or atleast I know of a few from ASC going in finance received their visa les last week.
So wondering those who have been waiting for long, which function they are going to?

It's a wrong assumption to consider that the delay is directed related to the position. There are other reasons.
Last week there were visa les for a few nationalities (major for one) and within those there was finance roles among others.
The latest releases are following the les for those who were waiting for long time not related to function / role.

Yes - but a unique nationality, with a unique job le can take longer... that's what my relo has advised. Common le / nationality combos can be relatively quick, e.g. American - Engineer or American - Finance.
But then these le / nationality combo can be too common and hence they might a wait list...

That's correct.
Usually it takes longer because it's a tailored le usually requested after offer signed and/or BI cleared.

I asked last week AOC about visa Block update and My Relo. Representative told me Visa Block hope that will be released some time this month.

Hoping the visa block from the London office is released soon....This wait/patience situation is tough. Along with people asking any news on your move etc etc....hoping we will all have some movement soon....

I was just informed by my Relocation Advisor that they did not have a visa le for me in this last block in Houston. Hope there is some good news for others.

Heeeello Everyone!!!
I am thrilled to share with all of you the extraordinary news that I just RECEIVED TODAY MY VISA LE!!!!
I am extremely happy that this looong wait has finally come to an end, and now I will be preparing everything for my eventual move to Saudi.
I would like to thank all of you who contributed to this forum, as it is through this channel that I have managed to keep my hopes high in this long wait.
I know first hand that this is a process that takes a loot of time, but I am sure it is totally worth it.
If you are one of those "WoVers" that has been waiting for a looong time, please don't loose your hope; I am sure we will get to meet very soon in Saudi.
