dear ckalamaras, how long did it take you to receive your visa from the moment you had cleared all your contigencies ie BI. i`m currently on the stage where i have undertaken the BI and medical tests and i am still waiting to hear from the london office. suppose my contigencies are clear, what will be the next stage of the procedure? is it true that someone may wait until 8 or even 9 months to receive the visa??? what do you mean by saying "visa le release" ? by the way, where are you originally coming from? judging from your nickname, sounds to me a bit greek, perhaps or not?

dimk,
Its not only true, which is my case, as also I know a couple of new hires who received their les yesterday that were waiting the exact same time as I (8 to 9 months since BI clearance). Some of them waiting since October 2013 got their visa block on one of the last releases back in May. It does not depend on your nationality.
It can be fast but most of the times is slow, so its better to be prepared for the wait, if it comes earlier better.
Although is not expectable that you have to wait that long, read the previous posts and you will figure out that from late 2013 until May 2014 there were no visa block releases.

True However, I just wanted to enjoy the long waited receipt of Visa le!!! However, it appears based on conversation with several people and knonwing somone - did you ask them to apply your visa application without the attested degree perhaps based on some other canadain qualification and what did they say? I have been told its a must requirement....

Degree attestation it's a cloudy issue, I haven't got a clear answer about that. I have my master degree attested since January, and back then I was told by AOC to hold it until Iqama application when I arrive to the kingdom. I recently asked AOC if Saudi embassy needs the original attestation for visa processing and I still wait for answer. I'm sure I'll need it for Iqama processing since it's mandatory to be registered in Saudi council of a engineers to get the Iqama, visa stamping not sure if they need the original attestation, but you cannot travel without it.

can anyone tell me what is the next stage after BI and medical tests are cleared.is it degree attestation and if it is,how long it normally takes? after degree attestation, then does AOC normally initiate the visa block procedure? Based on which factors the visa release depends on? i suppose that since ramadan has ended, the saudi government can run the procedures quickly. My journey started on june 2014 where i had my first interview, so i am bit newbie to the procedure which may take ages! wish good luck to everyone! it is worth of waiting if it is Aramco, right?

We are Canadian. My Husband and I were in Houston yesterday for medical and orientation. We were told that they already have a visa le for us and that we have to submit our passport to them once we returned home. Every steps for us was fairly smooth and quick. My husband is an electrical engineer. He had interview in Houston mid-April, got offer and package beg-June and we sent all the paperwork end of June. We have an anticipated travel date mid-October (our son need surgery sept 24th so we asked an extension).
Best of luck to you all !

My Fellow Visa WoVers... Let's keep our hopes high, things are apparently moving, and soon each of us will receive our long awaited Visas. For the newcomers, consider that this takes time... a lot of time... For your reference, below you can see my milestones: First contact with SA: December 2012 (20 Months Ago) Interview: May 2013 (15 Months) Offer: December 2013 (9 Months) BI and Medical Clearance: January 2014 (7 Months) Visa le: ? Let's hope that we receive our Visa les soon so that we can get out of this "waiting phase" that has lasted already too long for many of us...

JakeMX,
That's a very long wait!!! What function are you going to and what's your nationality? My understanding is that visa les are a combination of function / job le and nationality.
Thanks
