Hi guys getting the visa block is not the end of the story. I got my visa block end of May and still not have the visa in my passport. All of these non necessary delays are due to poor planning from AOC. My degrees missed the chop of the cultural section of saudi embasy in france where I obtained my degree which could be done during my full year waiting for visa block. What AOC advised to do is embassy chop only. Anyway, I DHL my degree again to France beginning of June. They required police report from france. I did that online which was sent by police to unknown as neither me nor agent in paris received anything. Then we agreed to get one police report from Malaysia where currently I live. I just got it today and immediately email to the agent in france followed by a call. They requested now to legilized the Aramco contract by ministry of foreigner affair in Saudi. What a , they could asked that together with police report.
I don't know why all of these formalities. I am really lost my patience especially when I found that AOC RA is very slow. I don't want to enroll my kids to school here as we are approaching September. I am worry

Really sorry to hear about your predicament! Perhaps some of the more experienced Wovers can give some advice... however in terms of getting contract attested by MoFA in KSA, I need to get that done for purposes of my degree attestation from Saudi Culture in Pakistan (where I studied). Aramco has told me that they are exempt from getting any ministry attestations from KSA as Aramco is part of the government, and none of there paperwork can be attested by MoFA in KSA. The Saudi Culture office in Pakistan does not buy this exemption ruling which the RA has communicated to me... I personally am in a bit of a pickle here - upon instance my RA suggested once my visa block is received then she can check if attestation can be done by MoFA in KSA. Another RA (senior to my assigned RA) told me that degree attestation is not required if I'm relocating with my family (which I am), it would only be required upon one year anniversary renewals... for which I will be in KSA to personally get contracts etc attested by local authorities in KSA (what joy!)...
Just to warn you that getting any attestation from KSA would not be easy...
All the best buddy! And keep us posted on how things progress for you...
Cheers !

Hero55, I share the same worries you do regarding children school, I'm waiting for my visa le to be released soon, there are a couple of batches to be released for the Wover's, and I don't know how Ramadan and Eid will delay the release process. School starts at 31 of August and I did not enroll my kids in school here as we'll cause I'm hoping to be in Saudi late August...
I hope you get your issues solved quickly. Regards

Have anybody heard some word from Huston or AOC London ? I haven't heard nothing regarding the possibility of release of a new block for the past 3 weeks. This can be good news or bad because usually after a period of 2/3 weeks of silence a block is released, but I'm not sure how things are going during Ramadan...

Another week, and still no word about new visa block releases expectations. Let's hope someone have at least some news regarding expected release dates, cause all this silence had made me start thinking that we will be waiting at least more 4 weeks until something happens...
Have a nice weekend.

Hero55I was also originally going to get my visa stamp from Paris since France was my point of origin. But I was lucky enough they changed it for London and then I had to go there for redoing the visa medicals and the way it is handled is much easier and faster. Also visa medicals, paper work and relations with the KSA ambassy in London is in the hands of one and the same visa agent. I share the same grief regarding the process of getting a visa stamp in Paris and guess we went through the same french agent, which I have been very unhappy with, and was close to make an official claim, because they are really not efficient, and above all not of good advise and ready to help. For example they got my medical check results in January, and I got confirmation several months later that my results were O.K., but the agency had simply put the file in a drawer and not checked if they were really OK. That has put me in a big trouble because the bacteriology had not been done, and it was not done the second time as well. Later they inquired with the KSA Ambassy in Paris, who insisted it must be done. Shouldn't they do their duty better and have known about it and revert to me to mention that something was not O.K. This adds up to the issues you are facing, resulting to the same lack of professionalism.

During the orientation one of the guys told he was active on the expat forum. Then I told who I am on the forum and he told he is Ritzcool. We also are on the same compound in Rakah.
Does anyone have any news from Boban? He did not react to the latest comments and I wonder if he has now renounced?

Per my RA(ASC), they don't expect anything to be released in Ramadhan.

Visa blocks are being processed normally by authorities, but you have to have in mind that during Ramadan working hours are reduced. (Iqama processing is undergoing fine also)
What can be insured is that during Eid almost everything will stop, so if visa blocks are not released within the next 2 weeks, only in August is expected to get more visa blocks.
So all of us Wover's will hopefully get our les within the next 2 to 6 weeks, there are not much les to be released from the "Wover's collection" so I guess that it will all be clear in the next 2 visa block releases.

No kidding! We have been waiting on a visa block since December 2013. Are there any others out in forum land that have been waiting this long? It's hard to stay positive, but we are doing it everyday :? Keep the news coming if you hear anything!
