o Fellow Wovers, We have been awaiting our Visa block since December 2013, after we passed medical and background. We have since retaken medicals once because they expired and will be redoing them again in July if nothing comes in before then. I know many are in the same boat, unfortunately! As redundant as this is... has anyone else heard about a new block arriving before or during Ramadan for U.S. hires? We check this forum daily to see about news and things have been fairly quiet recently, I'm guessing because the holiday is almost upon us. Cheers and thank you!

Space99, Thank you for your help, I am an Irish Passport holder, hence, it is very difficult to get a second passport.. If anyone has heard of any other methods etc of getting around this issue, it would be helpful?
Also, regarding the allocation of the Visa block, is it customary for Aramco to mobilise employees on business visas while waiting for the work visa to be allocated or is it a matter of waiting until the latter is actually in place in-kingdom prior to travelling? Your help is appreciated guys!

I am waiting for Visa les since last March!!!
Now, my concern that currently I'm working in Oman so based on that I asked ARAMCO to issue my VISA to be picked it up from KSA Embassy in Muscat ..but when I went to the Embassy asking for VISA requirements they told me that they need the NOC (Non objection letter) from my current employer which is not possible before resignation and completing notice period ..so I tell ARAMCO by the situation and ask them if possible to change the pick up point to my Country.. they told that they will send a request for that.. now my question do they need to retake the process from 0 (apply for new Visa block) or the government will accept the request and they will change the pick up point in the current VISA Block??
Appreciate your help...
Thanks!

Hey WOVers, I have some news that could either make or break your spirit: ASC Houston is expecting a block this week. If you're not on the list, you will not hear anything until after Ramadan. Since July 28-30 are holidays, and many people will take the rest of the week off (and of course, no one ever hurries back to work hard), it's likely that processing may not resume until the 2nd week of August.
I'm doing my best to find any positives, but I guess missing out on the hottest month could be a good thing. And you get to eat and drink in public (forbidden during Ramadan - not even in your office or car).
Best of 'fate' to everyone! "Two weeks!" K.

o fellows Wover's
Indeed there is a visa block expected to be released this week although due limited number of permitted les by visa block not all of us will be included in that block. For those who get lucky enough to see their waiting over congrats to the others probably August will be the time of the next release that will close the le waiting for the veteran Wover's. So hopefully all of us (Wover's waiting since late 2013 early 2014) will be in the kingdom before the end of August, some of us are going to feel more heat than others but eventually we all are going to meet there soon !
Regards J

I have some news from AOC, London.
I gave my relocation advisor a routine call (which I do every 2 weeks) to follow-up, she was on hols, so I managed to speak to someone else from the relocation team - who was more senior to my RA.
Anyways, this other Senior RA was told me that a lot of the backlog of visa blocks from last year has been cleared. They had some 350 visa blocks pending since last year, and the visa les started coming from end April this year.
She said now the 350 figure has gone done to some 80-90!
This 80-90 includes some (but very few she said) applicants from last year and rest are applicants from this year (I am one of them).
She said they are expecting some more visa les this week and next, and was hopeful that all will be cleared.
But then if not, then it will be after Ramadan!
Does anyone else have any insight from AOC, London?
Cheers!

i hope the aim is to clear out these 80-90 visa les in the next 10 working days (1 or 2 visa blocks) so they are all clear for a fresh start after Ramadhan.
AOC RAs have been told that next 2 weeks will be very busy. :-)

fishfash,
Lets just hope they are indeed very busy ...
anyone with more insight? I believe a visa block would have been received today (they generally get it on Thursday). Anyone know what nationalities this was for?
Cheers!

More wonderful news UK_Finance_Applicant!
Did the ## happen to mention if this 80-90 number is specifically UK hires waiting on block or all hires/nationalities waiting on visa blocks? Also does anyone know how many les are usually in a block? Thanks for the updates!

Dear Fellow Wovers,
Two simple questions to the group: • Has anyone heard if there was a visa block release this week? • Does anyone know if we will have another visa release in the next two weeks?
My guess is that as Ramadan will be from 29th June to the 27th July we might not have another visa block release after the 2nd week of August. (I hope I am wrong at this assumption).
Any insights you might share would be really appreciated…
Fyi: I received my offer in December 2013, and I have been waiting since then for my visa le....

Interviewed in August, got offer in October... Yesterday my RA (Houston) said that nothing has arrived. Running out money and losing hope.
Congrats to those that are leaving soon.

Until now, no word from AOC London. I do still believe that we are going to have some news soon since things do not stop in Ramadan. Working hours are indeed less but people still work, so until mid July there is hope to have some news, I don't know if there is going to be one or two block releases to clean the Wover's but something will happen. If not only in August after Eid.

o everyone I am Ana Catarina, from Portugal. I am too waiting for the visa block release. I was interviewed in the first week of March in London and I receive my job offer on March 26th. The background investigation and medical exams are OK I already went for the PDO session in London on May 22nd and I am waiting... I am a museum curator and I'll be working at the King Abdulaziz Cultural Centre? Is there anyone else going for the same Insution? I am single! Can that work in my favor or not??? Probably its a weird/stupid observation but I am thinking In terms that the Company/Government just has to give a single visa authorization and just take care of the relocation of 1 person. (!!) Could that easier the process or it's just a very wrong assumption!!! GOOD LUCK FOR ALL OF US! Many thanks for your kind attention. AC.

That is a wrong assumption, sorry. Even a single person's visa must come in a visa block with the correct nationality, job le and gender.
