It's going to be quite difficult to connect recently released visa les in the released block with previous date of visa block application, since those dates might not even been the acceptance dates of the requests. What I'm trying to say is that some of the les released in last week block might have people waiting since October 2013 and people waiting for a lot less time then that, February or March...

Hi all-
I have been following this post for a while. I was interviewed with Aramco in April of 2013 and had all my contigencies cleared in August of 2013. I have been waiting on my le since then. Already had my visa medicals done twice and now need to do the third time. Everytime I talk to my relo advisor she indicates in another 2-3 weeks new block will come out, new block comes but nothing in for me. It has been a long wait and was wondering if other candidates had similar experience. Whats contradicting is I know someone who had an offer couple of weeks back and had his visa le arrived this week.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi purvamehta_5,
I am wondering how it is even possible that someone you know received their visa le this week even though they were given the offer several weeks back?
As far as I know they don't even apply for someone's visa le or assign one until the job candidate has cleared the contingencies, which certainly would not be able to happen in a few weeks (I don't care where you live in the world, this is just not realistic given Aramco's timeline)...

purvamehta_5, It is normal to have a visa le available immediately and it is also normal to wait several months for visa le

I was also in touch with my relocation advisor this morning, who informed me that my visa le was not in the most recent visa block...

Hi all
I have a question on the process after visa block has been received.
I need to have my visa block slip in hand to get my degree attested from pakistan.
Been told by my relocation advisor that the visa block slip should be received by end of this month. My relocation advisor has also informed me that once the visa block has been received I would need to clear all contingencies and leave for ksa within 90 days. Is this true???
The degree attestation process can take upto 2 months when submitted to Saudi culture - only when this is done will I be able to clear all contingencies and the offer will be confirmed.
And then I am on a 3 months notice period with my current employer. This can be negotiated a bit 2 or 2.5 months.
Now I'm really concerned as to how this will work out for me.
Can someone plz explain the process after visa block has been issued.
I am getting a sense that my relocation advisor is new.
Really appreciate the help and guidance.
Thanks!!

o all! I am also a WoVer (waiting on visa) - {Interviewed in August, offered in October, orientation in December} -- single female, leaving a fiance behind in Houston, blah blah blah
I can't believe the wait is almost over and the start of our new lives in Saudi Arabia is just around the corner. (I've had 5 suitcases packed since December...then unpacked a bit, then repacked...then pulled stuff out again...said goodbye, said o, said, 'who knows?')
I worked in Dhahran as a consultant from Dec. 2011-July 2013, so I know what to expect, but it's still exciting to be going back as a permanent employee (no hotel! my own apt. with a stove! the ability to buy a car!)
I want to say a special congrats to David and Nita - and to suggest that perhaps they be the ones to throw the first dinner party?? (just kidding!)
Really I just want to say thank you to everyone for posting, for keeping us informed, and for reminding me on days when I really didn't think it was going to materialize, that I am not alone, not crazy (well, maybe!) and that we have a bond that no one else on camp will have. I can't wait to meet y'all and greet you with our mantra, "Two weeks!"
Best of luck to everyone. Let's hope we all get there before it hits 110 degrees! Kari

Better hurry then - it's supposed to hit 43 C in Dhahran on Saay (109 F)!
Today hit 106 F, and soon this will count as a cool day.
