Hi all once again congratulations to david and nita. I have been told by London people that I am not included in the recent visa le release although I am waiting since September 2013. Not like most people here, I really don't care and I am enjoying my life here in kuala lumpur as maximum as I can before moving to lower quality of life place (ksa). I am progressing in my horse riding classes since last March. I have travelled more than 5 times overseas since I did the interview more than 1 year ago and funnily I have been in ksa itself right after I did the interview for other purpose. Needless to say that I have really cleaned up my mind from thinking and absolutely practising my regular life very normal. My medical check up was done for 3rd time after RA insisted me to redo it.
bottom line visa block showed up it fine , visa block pending it is fine ....

Hero55, good for you! I'm in the same boat as you...I wasn't included in this one either. My timeline is similar to yours.

My relocation adviser confirmed that our visa les are received as well. We will be going for medical and orientation soon. Congratulations to the fellows who received their les and good luck to those who are patiently waiting for it.

No immediate joy for the Steiner fellow; finally got an answer, although I could certainly guess the outcome beforehand.
Hope things progress smoothly for the fortunate few (and you know who you are!). At this point, whenever we go, it will be hot, but surely no one can say that s/he didn't know that from the outset...
I, and others, would probably appreciate continuing updates from those departing, particularly with regard to lessons learned. There is a lot to remember and prepare for, so insight from 'veterans' will be heartily welcomed by this new hire.

Relocation advisor confirmed we are included in the recently released block and they are expecting hubbys VIL to arrive monday. Passport is already with them so they will courier to embassy for stamping next week we have to go seperately so another couple of months for me and the girls but at least it's getting closer. I suddenly feel a bit sick in the stomach! Keeping fingers crossed for everyone else waiting to hear and hoping the next block is released very soon. Abqaiq is going to get very full!

Hi to all, my first post !
Even so quite advanced in the hiring proired:
Interviewed end of August 2013; Received formal offer mid-November (accepted the same week); All Aramco clearances ready by mid January and even medical check-up for KSA embassy on January the 20th. Went back to London last week to renew medical check-up;
While waiting at Harley's medical center, I was told that the visa block received last week had only three very general visa les (3 job descriptions) for nurses, "basic"engineering & operation assistant (?), and all for UK Passport holders (50 to 70 positions for each le). That's why some new-comers are being called by their respective R.A., even without having all clearances at that time.
I was then told that more new visa blocks should be coming to ASC London in the following days/weeks, and hopefully with more specific les or job descriptions like the one some of us need (Geological Specialist, GC-15, French Passport applysing through KSA embassy in the UK !).
Hope they gone get this one right soon enough............
Good luck to everyone and cheers,

UK_Finance_Applicant,
Hope this can help you. After the visa block release your relocation advisor will receive your visa le that allows you to apply to your visa. Your passport is sent to London KSA Embassy to be stamped (visa medical as well) After the passport is stamped (2-5 days after submittal) your Relocation Adviser will send you the Final Release Letter and then you should give your current Employer the Notice Period. After our passport is stamped you have 90 days to travel to KSA, if you don't your visa expire.

Congratulations to all the guys who have received their visa blocks.... Its so frustrating, as I still haven't received mine, although I am waiting since last October/November......I can't plan anything as I am on hold. Every month I am hoping "it will be next month", "next month"....and finally I am getting closer to exactly 1 year after my initial interview......without visa in my hand I have received email today from my relo adviser saying: "Dear Slobodan, Yes we had a few last week and are expecting more as well. Nothing for you yet but fingers crossed in the next batch. Kind regards,"

It is my understanding that the issue related to the visa le delays is fixed for all time, which will return visa / visa le processing back to the normal schedule of le ready by the time clearances are received and visas issued within 2-3 weeks of background/school/SAMSO medical clearance.
Email thu indicated that our visas would be in-passport likely Monday, which puts us in-kingdom around the 31st or 1st of June, just in time to enjoy a glorious summer (which actually ain't that bad in RT).
Our "intent to make offer" letter with request for app and paystubs was also last May so we sure didn't get expedited. I'm glad it's almost over. We have lived in "limbo" for a full year.
