that's great that it sounds like people are getting positive responses! Hopefully it's legitimate I did touch base with my nurse friend who has been in country for over a year (so since well before the JV) and she said that from her end things are not moving at all. The current employees still have not been told anything- nothing about salary, benefits, etc... and she indicated that she has heard that there is some sort of a problem with the JV on the National side and that it may not actually be totally set up. I'm certain there is more to the story, that was just what I was able to get from a few texts. I'm hoping she has bad info  Best of luck to everyone!

@ watiekatie I'm hoping that as Belmontmedic is having an interview soon that the issue with the JV on the National side has resolved or near resolution.
In my thought process if you were going to interview someone for a position then firstly an opening must be available and secondly you would have the contract ready to give out.
Anyhow these coming 2 weeks may have some answers.

o all
I had a chat with the London office, it seems things are slowly progressing, no contracts have been issued since last August and there is a increasing demand to fill posts. Once the "system" gets running it will be a quick process. Apparently the new interviews are being done so that they have people ready for when the contracts have been finalised.
A couple of people have mentioned teething problems of the joint venture at the "national level" so it seems the backlog might have been there.

@ waitekatie
So I emailed my recruiter this morning cuz I thought it was close enough to May 1st to try. I was told to try back after May 15th just like you were couple weeks ago. He mentioned things are moving but slowly.

My husband also applied medical/dental position in June 2013. We've been waiting for some answer from JH. My husband friend who work at Aramco dental department heard some rumor that hiring process does not occur until August due to some sort of problem in national side like waitekatie mentioned before. We don't expect anything until August... :?

UKdoc- it would seem logical that they wouldn't do interviews unless they were ready to dole out contracts...but I don't think any assumptions involving logic can be made in this case. I really have no expectations of anything for quite a while, as the current employees still haven't been told anything about their salary and benefits. And the other thing that I still haven't heard confirmed or seen in any of the other posts is whether the JHAH is 1) planning to fill the same positions that were posted last summer and fall that many of us interviewed for and/or 2) planning to move forward with pre-selected candidates. It could be that JHAH decides to insute an entirely different structure and the jobs that we interviewed for will no longer exist or the qualifications will be drastically different. It doesn't seem like anyone knows one way or another, but it seems very possible that Hopkins will want to put their thumb print on operations. And judging by the few JHAH positions that are posted on the Hopkins International Medicine site, they are looking for pretty high qualifications. And, if the application process does start over, I am concerned that the applicant pool will actually get deeper and therefore harder to get a job b/c the affiliation with Hopkins will only add visibility to the positions. Of course this is all speculative since there seems to be nothing set in stone. This is fun right?!?!

Yes Aprils been and gone, I'm guessing all eyes are on around 15th May. @watiekatie I am assuming the preselected candidates stand a good chance because the recruitment process has been halted for almost a year so the demand should be higher than normal (I hope). Gotto have nerves of steel and patience of a saint now!

UKdocTotally agree with you. I'm sure developing all this is taking them a longer time than expected. Not totally surprising given the magnitude of what it entails. Guess there really is no option apart from waiting it out... Maybe may 15th may bring some news

No nothing yet from London, also still no jobs back on the Aramco site. The only reassuring thing so far is that job timelines can be noutoriously long. Hang in there.

I emailed my recruiter in Houston and did get a reply today. He indicated that there may be offers in June. He also asked me to re-submit the QR - application and copies of my credentials. Hopefully that is a good sign, but apparently offers are still on hold for now.
