waitekatie. So one was told mid June, one was told before July and you were told after Ramadan which means august. I think at the moment it's guessing game?

Indeed, who knows??
I personally won't be following up until after Ramadan. Unless decisions are made in the next week or so I really don't think anything will happen until after Ramadan. And really, at the rate this is going we still might not know anything until after Ramadan 2015.

The last we heard here in Kingdom is they hope to have the packages for new hires ready by the end of the summer. (They had hoped June, but now its looking like July-August). They hope to have local hires here by the end of the year. Because of the time it takes to bring in expats I doubt we'll see many arriving until the end of the year if not early next year.

Thanks Twofeets for that update, it seems there is going to be some conclusion to all of this at least by and of August.
By the way has anyone else contacted their recruiters recently, I'm in two minds to call mine for an update.

So I did touch base with my recruiter who advised me to check back after Ramadan. Guess things will be quiet till then. If anyone hears anything, please do share

Sorry I am a bit late with an update here. Nothing new to add but thought it would be good to at least post this. I checked in with my Houston recruiter around mid-June. He said the HR team is busy drawing up policies and nothing can happen until that is done. He thought that it would probably not be until after Ramadan that there is anything done as far as offers.

Heard from Houston this am, he's unsure if he'll have any information in early August. Sounds like a lot more waiting.

Looks like we will be waiting until at least the end of Sept according to the latest from Houston.

Almost one year after my interview, it doesn't look like anything will match my expectations at this point after all this wait. Some of us, like me, only applied because of the great benefits Aramco provides for their direct employees (great schools, good housing, great traveling allowance, and some kind tax protected income). The new joint venture is an independent for-profit eny and they definitely will not provide benefits comparable to Aramco. The base-salary might be comparable, but the total compensation, or how much you can save, will vary significantly if you calculate it as a whole package. My two cents.

I was told to check back in September as well. No further info of current status was provided. Def more waiting is there; guess not much that we can do. Who knows what the packages will be like; my guess is that they would still need to be compeive to attract people.... Let's see what happens

Labor Day will be one year since I interviewed as well and I'm pretty burnt out on the whole thing. As everyone else has said, just more waiting.

Just wondering, where is aspendoc who started this thread? Is he in the same boat like us or he had enough of this waiting?
