We were waiting for visa le since aug/8 and got it sept/24.Now another 4 weeks for the passport stamp. its long process for sure...
hope there are new les coming soon.

I am considering the offer letter sign-off date as the start date in my case (i.e. early July). All my contingencies were cleared (medical, BI etc) in middle of August. So now its almost going to be 3 months that I have been waiting for my Visa le.
Looks like another 4-5 weeks as I have heared that from Oct 9-15 is the hajj/eid holidays and everyone is on vacation returning back end of October so it seems November already.

Sydney, We both have similar date. The Eid Vacation is actually from 10/10 to 10/19 but there is no reason to not be optimistic and hope the les will be here this week or early next  |

I hope so too ChicagoEngine but talking to my relocation advisor things seem to be very gloomy. Last thing I want is me leaving on christmas eve :cry:
So I assume you are being hired from US?

Here is our visa timeline:
Received visa le on 9/10 applied for visas on 9/11 and received or visas on 9/30. Tentative departure date of 10/24.
Other helpful info:
US citizen
Applied at Houston consulate
Petroleum Engineer le with PE degree

Yes, I am being hired from the USA for an engineering position at Hawaiyah Gas Plant and will be residing in ABQ, at least for now, what about you Sydney?

Finally received our visa Oct 1st, leaving Oct 19th. Got the clearance to give notice. It has been a journey! Hope everyone gets positive responses soon. Good luck and thank you to the moderators!

pinoycoolada Congratulations. It was really very long journey for you. I am still in BI and waiting for visa block though the relocation advisor is in hurry and he asked me to do in advanced medical visa locally and everything is ready for visa application in anticipation of visa block call. But I found that you are waiting since Feb 2013 so should I expect similar time frame meaning to say 6 months  ? RA said expected move is Dec but wonder if we will achieve that tight plan ?? |

I started the process October 2012, went in for the interview November, was offered the same month. Attended the orientation January 2013 and did our medical visa exams. The background investigations were done February-April I believe, then did not hear back from my advisor until June-July which coincided with our vacation plans anyways. Finally heard back from her August who mentioned that the medical exam we did earlier in the year were too old already so we had to do this all over again. Houston applied for our visa Sept 12 and got our visas October 1st. So a lot of delays but as different persons had mentioned, the whole process usually takes anywhere from about 8-12months from start to finish. Good luck to you!

Can you please share how long did you wait for your le to come from the date you accepted the offer. Just wanted to get an idea as in my case its almost 3 months that I have been waiting since the date I signed the offer.
