Seems as though we are all in the same boat with the relo folks. I completed my orientation, visa medical and left my passport with her on April 15. I came home to a few more questions from my wife which still remain unanswered. I was pretty sure that the BI had been started but still no contact from the investigator. Has anyone passed through the BI stage without personal contact from the BI people?
I am pretty sure they are doing their best to get all they can get done before Ramadan in July. I was told that if we were not in country before July that it would be August before we got a fly date. My hope is that they are making good use of all the time they could be spending on emails on just getting us there ASAP.

Steven, TrainingProf, CalgaryTrooper The relocation advisors cannot be blamed for the length of the BI process. They are merely waiting for a word from the BI team and after that they wait more for the reply from KSA (clearances) for the approval. That is not their fault. The process takes a long time. Sometimes, I think they are reluctant to approach the clearances team in KSA to get feedback. I think they need to do more of that.
They have a very tough job, being the link between us and the hiring department in KSA, and dealing with lots of applicants and waiting themselves for all these clearances to come from KSA. But at the same time there is no reason not to respond to queries that potential employees have.
I do have a question though, how long does it take for the BI report to be approved once its send to Dhahran for approval/rejection. I have looked at time line and it does vary from one week to one month even more!! But any information can be shared based on communication with your respective relocation adviser.

kuwait2dhahranYou know I have to agree with you on this. My relocation advisor is dealing with about 47 different candidates and she said that it has been kinda light and she said that on an avee each advisor deals with about 70 or so candidates at a time. Needless to say plus like you said that they even have to deal with the other end which is the HR in kingdom. Regardless of what they say I still wanna know my status.....

One of the things that causes delays is something everyone gets to look forward to when they come to work for Aramco: vacation and time off.
There are different approval times sometimes because they are waiting on a person to come back from vacation. Then once that person is back there might be another person needed for the approval who is gone. If it happens to catch everyone at work, the timeline for approvals can be shorter.

First Post
would like to say hi to everyone as well as big thanks to the moderators who have been helping all of us knowing more about SA and KSA. Hopefully we will be joining you all in KSA.
I was interviewed on 9th April, 2013 and was asked to submit the following on very next day 10th April, 2013. • Two recent paystubs • Passport Copy • Postal address
So I did that and submit all above on 12th April, 2013 but I haven't got any response from them after that. In my case they didn't inform me if they will extend an offer or not. Since I was asked to submit the paystub, should I assume that the offer will follow?
Regards,
Okaan

kuwait2dhahranDitto to Texas2rt. I don't envy their job. Given they only have 3 contact days per week between Houston and SA to make all this work, plus the orientations, plus dealing with 50-70 anxious and excited families, they deserve their every other Friday off. Some (like mine) don't even take all of it off just to serve us. We should all send them flowers

Hi to everyone!!! I had interview at 25.04.13, but before that I was asked for passport copy, payslip, all documents. Interview was lasting for 50 min, but after that I have no response. Is it ok that recruiter asked all info before interview? As I understand it usually gets after. :?

Very common with Aramco to ask for the info up front.

Calgary Trooper and other friends, I was been asked for payslip and told that they are targeting lower than my current salary and if I am flexible for that. Is it common or usually you get some raise on top of your current salary. If that is the case, what is the range of % raise? Another note, once you get an offer, you can decline or put a counter offer for a request to increase in salary? Your input will be greatly appreciated as this is the only way to get and share information with each other to help making a decision. Calgary Trooper, You are from Calagary, so your input will be much appreciated. Anyone from Alberta region or any part of Canada are requested to help me out to share your thought. Thanks in advance.

Riz1,
May i ask you if you finally declined completely or Aramco will come back with a revised offer? How many times you declined the offer since from the first offer? Did you ask for more salary when you decline first time and how was the process and response from Aramco? Will your request well respected by Aramco or just declined the request?
Thanks in advance.
