Well things in motion.. but its all about patience! *Update (9/6) -- I had interview this past week in Houston and it went well. There were four Saudi gentlemen and one British (from what it seemed.) The gentlemen were all very professional and very nice, the range of questions were everything from 'how would you secure this' to 'how do you feel about documenting process'. And 'why' do you want to do this job.. (I highlighted because I've 'supervised' and 'been a contributor' and highlighted that I can do both) After the interview, I hopped on my plane home, and where my connection was, I called my wife to check in and she told me that the Recruiter called back to say that the gentlemen were eager to do a follow up call the next day. So I had another meeting on the phone yesterday (suffering from jetlag  ). but felt I did ok! So Im feeling hopeful, but we will see! Good luck to the others!!! Work Location: Dhahran?? Online Resume Submission to Career Site/Recruiter: Follow-up email from Houston ASC recruiter: May 19th (Email to Notify me that other department had strong interest) Phone Interview Conducted : March 18,2013 (With Saudi's) Houston Interview conducted: May 26th (Face to face at Houston ASC, was good interview but realized that they had a mismatch so no job :roll: ) Phone call from Houston ASC: July 18, 2013 (Wanted to know if i was interested in 2nd interview from Phone Screen in March I said .. YES) Houston Interview Face to Face: Sept 5 -- Went well, had follow up on sept 6 the 'next' morning. Pay stub submitted: NOT SELECTED Was notified that I was not selected for the SOC role, which is ok. I appreciated the experience and will probably look at other roles within Aramco. |

Edmo_NC, I am still waiting for an offer and expecting to receive something from Houston in this week. Yeh, you are right Ramdan and Eid are over and things should start picking up from now to onward.

Aramco Timeline: Job le: Supervising Operator Oil/Gas.
April 27: Job Fair Baton Rouge,La.
June 24: Interview in Houston,Tx.
July 3: Received Conditional job offer with salary info worksheet.
July 18: accepted offer and sent paperwork back.
July 29: First contact with Background investigator.
July 30: First contact with relocation advisor.
July 31: Health Questionnaire cleared
Aug 6. BI completed and approved. Sent to KSA for final approval.
Aug. 7 to 8: Flew back to Houston ASC for orientation and Visa Physical.
Aug. 26. BI cleared.
Waiting on next block of job les to come out so that my relocation advisor can apply for my visa.

Well everything was supposed to work out ... was told end August, then told 27 Sep 2013.
Now being told BI has not gone through yet and although Monday I was told it was and to hand in my notice, I had to then retract it ... anyone know how long these BI checks can take please I am getting a little frustrated now

We are in the same boat as you. To speed things up we have been given someone else's visa le as ours did not come up in the last batch. Today our passports were returned to us with our visas stamped! We are still waiting for the BI to clear which has been in process since early July, and get school clearance, which we should have received by now if the the reloc guy hadn't submitted the wrong forms. Just waiting for the green light so we can get packing.

Update I now have a departure date .. in 2 weeks time eekk!!! Lots to do and I would like to thank everyone on here for the advice and information and I am now feeling excited and nervous at the same time Look forward to maybe meeting a few of you in my travels  |

That's where I am now.
Since somebody will probably ask, my interview was with two individuals at the same time in Dhahran via skype and lasted one hour. I think the interviews are very specific to the department/team and so YMMV.

Contacted by Agent that Aramco wants to have VCI interview – 25/6/2013 Interviewed via Skype – 2/7/2013 Received email that I have passed the Interview – 4/7/2013 Submitted the pay stub and Aramco application form – 4/07/2013 Received Offer Letter – 26/7/2013 Revised offer : 12/8/2013 Location : Abqaiq - Senior housing Work : Daharan Submitted Medical / BI Docs and other docs : Around 19th August 2013 Contacted by BI person for additional docs : 10th September 2013 Waiting patiently |
