Just a few changes/updates: Offered Position: Program Development & Evaluation yst/Instructional Program Designer Department: Program Development and QA Location: Ras Tanura
Online Resume Submission to Career Site/Recruiter: November 2012 Email from Houston ASC recruiter: Jan 24, 2013 Houston Interview conducted: Saay, Feb. 16th, 2013 Email Offer Received: Mar 18, 2013 FedEx Offer, Medical and BI Received: March 19, 2013 Offer, Medical and BI paperwork mailed to ASC: March 25, 2013 Relocation Adviser assigned: April 3, 2013 Received Benefits/direct deposit/Visa app/other paperwork packet: April 4, 2013 Houston orientation and Medical: April 15, 2013 BI Started: April 13, 2013 Reference Check for BI: April 24, 2013 (First contact with BI) Visa Medical Cleared: May 1, 2013 Medical & BI cleared: Sent to Saudi Aramco May 15, 2013 Visa application submitted: May 17, 2013 Visa application approved: Departure date: NEW ETD (per Relo) June 18, 2013
I found out that arrival dates matter. The 20th is the payroll cut off. Anything after that will roll to the next month which is why my relo adviser requested a June 18th date (very nice of her). Otherwise my 1st paycheck would not be until August

Is the 20th the cut-off date for each month? When would you receive the paycheck then, in June/July? Is there a fixed salary payment date? If you arrive after the 20th, why would you receive your 1st paycheck in August and not in July?

Thanks TrainingProf! I'm sure we will be waiting a longer due to the fact we are still waiting on our kids 1st passports to come in. Thanks for the tip on the dates to come in by.

bfish71, I am not sure about the cut-off dates for every month but my Relo Adviser told me that if I arrive on or after the 20th of June, I would not see the July 1 paycheck and would have to wait until Aug 1. Now, if everything goes right and I "go live" on the 18th, I will get my 1st paycheck on July 1. I am guessing that it will be short in actual salary but the move-in funds and cash-in-lieu should be there.
Is there anyone else already in country that can clarify?

To try to answer questions for both bfish and trainingprof...but be aware these posts may get moved to another thread by the administrator, since they aren't really TIMELINE posts.
The cutoff date for each month is APPROXIMATELY the 20th. It can vary if there are holidays in the mix and it varies slightly depending on which date payday falls on. The statement about arriving after the 20 of June (or whatever the exact cutoff date is for the month) would mean that its too late to receive the June paycheck at the end of the month of June, which would be paid on June 28 in this case. So one going live on Jun 18 should, "insh" receive the June payday of the pro-rated amount for the month, and it should have your settling in allowance. But it may or may not! July would then be a full month of pay, and if they didnt get your allowances into June, it would be in July.
Paydays do fluctuate each month, and I'm new enough not to have figured out the rhyme or reason to try to predict it, but you won't have to, since they publish in January a list of all the paydates for the year.
You probably have figured out that you get paid once per month.
US Dollar paydates are always 2 or 3 days after SAR paydates. If you split your pay in some percentage between a local bank account in SAR and a US bank account in dollars, the SAR portion of your pay hits on the SAR paydate, and the US piece on the US paydate.

Hi there,
I was interviewed on April 25 in SAO in London for the position of Petroleum Engineer and everything was arranged by the specialized Recruitment Agency. I've submitted job application, pay slips, certificates, diploma, passport copy all before the interview and since then there is no reply. I've completed also orientation presentation right after the interview. What I've been told is that in case they'll disqualify me I'll be informed immediately otherwise I have to wait for 3 weeks to receive an offer. Actually they told me the longer I wait the chances are better to get the job. So I assume all is OK since 6 weeks passed but I would like to check my status in any case. In Agency they're saying the case is still pending and I was trying to call SA Employees Relation Services but the voice machine is holding my call even for a half an hour. So can anyone help and tell me how to check the status of my application and what should I expect.
Rgds, Romsy

Dear slimka and Ronsy I'm in the same situation as you guys. I had my interview with 2 Saudi guys on the 25th of April. I haven't heard anything so far from Aramco. However, I do have a friend who got interviewed the same day, and received an offer from Aramco. He's now in the BI medical process. They gave him offer the next Monday. It was pretty quick for him. We might not receive offer then. Don't know what to think

FINALLY!
Offered Position: Program Development & Evaluation yst/Instructional Program Designer Department: Program Development and QA Location: Ras Tanura
Online Resume Submission to Career Site/Recruiter: November 2012 Email from Houston ASC recruiter: Jan 24, 2013 Houston Interview conducted: Saay, Feb. 16th, 2013 Email Offer Received: Mar 18, 2013 FedEx Offer, Medical and BI Received: March 19, 2013 Offer, Medical and BI paperwork mailed to ASC: March 25, 2013 Relocation Adviser assigned: April 3, 2013 Received Benefits/direct deposit/Visa app/other paperwork packet: April 4, 2013 Houston orientation and Medical: April 15, 2013 BI Started: April 13, 2013 Reference Check for BI: April 24, 2013 (First contact with BI) Visa Medical Cleared: May 1, 2013 Medical & BI cleared: Sent to Saudi Aramco May 15 / Cleared on Jun 19th, 2013 Visa application submitted: May 17, 2013 Visa application approved: May 31, 2013 Departure date: (NEW) June 29, 2013
The longest lapse seemed to be the BI approval in Saudi. That took over a month which was hard to take given that the visa was approved. I will not hit the July payroll now but at least I have my "good to go" email.
See you on the beach! 8)
