Canpeng: Sorry, missed your older post. Also missed the fact that OhCanada finally got her visa and should be here right now. Congrats to her!!
I wouldn't sweat the 115v issue for the minute. Despite the work in progress to start converting the camp to 220v, there will be a near riot if everyone here has to replace all of their appliances. I think that there may be a few 115v outlets left behind to quell dissention...
Right now, Saco (the marginal home center just outside the camp in the Dhahran Mall) carries a shelf full of transformers. Folks use them to step up or step down voltages. My wife borrowed a 220v sewing machine that was powered off one of those units. Worked fine, despite my better judgement. Knowing the potential fire and electocution risk these may pose, I would bet that Aramco finds a way to accomodate dual voltages in the house. Or maybe in a portion of the house. Internally in the camp, there will have to be some means to phase this in.

I live in Dubai. I interviewed in ASC Dec 2012. Three days later, I was told that I was accepted and sent the 2 payslips and told an offer in comming shortly. How does the process for medical and background check and visa process differ if I live in Dubai. Thanks to all

Congrats. Have a safe trip. My preference is to use 220v appliances with transformers. I would not buy the cheap ones though. Get the more expensive transformers, made in Japan, that have the built in cooling fans. One thing to note is that the fans run non-stop even when nothing is plugged in on the 110v side (could be annoying in bedrooms at night if you're a light sleeper).

Hi Yousif: How did you solve your transcripts problem? Do you still remember if the BI form asks for the highest degree or all degrees? Is the transcripts for highest degree enough for BI and VISA? Thanks!
