Things continue to happen. I got the official offer package via FedEx on Friday. It all seems very real now. I have updated my timeline on page 4.

Wow, what a process! Thanks to everyone on this forum for keeping us staying positive through it all. It's been a long journey but our family of four are finally at the end...and at the beginning of the next phase : ) More Canadians on their way...

Offer Letter - 21st June
Medical/Orientation - 10th August
Visa Application - 4th September
Visa Approval-11th October
Travel Date-1st Nov!!

I haven't checked this thread in some time. Nice to see everyone posting updates. Congrats to those who have made it to Saudi.
We have been here over 3 months now and my word of advice for those that are in the process or who have just arrived is obviously to have patience, but more specifically, do not make any decisions in haste or hurry, and always consult with more than one person before making decisions.
We have found out that things work very different here and it takes time to get used to the system. It took us all of the past 3 months to settle in and mentally be prepared to live here long term. If you asked me a few weeks ago if it was worth it, I would have said no, but now I feel like I have made the right decision for my family.
Best of luck and keep in mind that the chaos/stress of the hiring process will last for a few months even after you arrive, but it will be worth the headache(s)!
