It is normal, I had the similar experience. However, for the backup candidate, I guess they generally mention it explicitly that you are a backup candidate.
Good luck with offer processing.

I got the offer after 8 weeks of my final interview. Hi there My interview conducted in 5 weeks before and I have been requested to send my, wife and child documents (passport, nid, pphq etc) recently and I also sent them already. In the meantime my relocation officer contacted me that she will help me in this process which may take 1-2 months. In the meantime credence background checking company requested to send some evidence of my current job. However, I am wondering I have not received any offer yet but a lot of things is going on which is something strange to me. I have other company offer too in my hand. Without the offer i cannot take the decision. Can you suggest me how you are gone with this process in recent time? do you think I will receive offer shortly?

I had similar kind of experience. I submitted lots of docs in the silkroad portal while completing tasks in that website. It is normal I guess and they would like to make things a bit faster to process everything in parallel. However, you can always ask your recruiter regarding the current status of the offer. Generally, it takes time to get the approval from the KSA.
Hopefully you will get the offer soon. Good luck.

I was interviewed back in July. I was TQ but considered as a backup candidate. I got a call yesterday for additional documents so that an offer can be made. Hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Aprico, I have not heard back from them. It has been only three weeks. As per forum offer can take 4-8 weeks. There were no non technical questions in my interview. It depends on the job. I think they will ask question to judge your approach and apude to work.

If your first interview was purely technical and lasted about an hour, then there might not be another interview. If it was just a Hireview recorded interview then there will be a strong technical second interview. Be properly prepared for technical interview as they go really deep on the concepts. You will be short listed for sure if this interview goes well. This is my own experience as well. Good Luck!

Hi All,
I find myself in a similar position. Following an interview last week, I received feedback that I am technically qualified. I've been designated as a backup candidate in case the initial selection doesn't pan out or if new roles are sanctioned. Has anyone experienced a favorable outcome in a similar situation?
Thanks

Thanks I was considered TQ but never told I was in a back up candidate scenario, I did however wait around 4-5 months to be told I had an offer coming. I interviewed in the February, and end of July I had the offer. Flew to KSA in December.
