Hey newbee , yes I got a list of tests , vision, dental , xrays, blood etc.. I am travelling to Calgary to get it done there. I hope that helps Where are you based in Canada? Are they covering for travel costs to Calgary? |

There's no verbal offers my friend! You should also only go for medical, etc once you receive an offer, more so as they have the specific list of tests, including 12 hour blood sugar fasting and stool sample, from an accredited and approved clinic. |

I finally got an official email from HR with a le "Saudi Aramco Offer Event" and in this email they are asking me to fill in a questionnaire so they can be able to generate an offer ? the questionnaire includes required information around address, place of origin and Marital status , I think is it a way to evaluate how much relocation expenses they want to cover. So I am going to fill in that in my silkroad account and wait for the next step. Any thoughts or ideas about the next step though ? what about the negociation part ? any tips ? should I start with base 3x as a start and then see their reaction to it ? any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you in advance |

The offer questionnaire is basically asking for final details which go into the written offer. I recently did this (last month) and got the written formal offer 1 week after the questionnaire. I had already received a verbal offer a few weeks before. After the written offer, you can negotiate and the recruiter will have some authority to go to a certain amount for the base salary. Over that, they will need to go back to Saudi HR for approval and that will take time but depending on your expectations and offer provided, you can decide best course of action.
My medical request was after I signed written offer so I would just be wary of doing the medical before agreement on numbers. Since they make you pay medical out of pocket first (did it this month and cost >$3k for me and my wife. Would be more for you since you’re coming from out of Calgary ) and reimburse you later, I would get aligned on numbers first.

Oh Wow!! that's expensive my friend, I already booked my flight and stay to Calagary by the end of May, but I think I will have the written offer sometimes between next week or week after , but you are right , we need to get aligned on numbers first before taking any further step , I have a flexible package to Calagary, so worst case scenario I will cancel it if we didn't agree on a base salary. I got an official email from HR saying that my offer is being generated and they will get back to me as soon as possible, I am expecting something to be rendered within 4-5 business days , hopefully I got the numbers aligned before my trip to Calgary , otherwise I have to consider other offers, I also have an ongoing interview process with 2 big consulting firms in the states and one IT company in the Silicon Valley. So they better match the expectations from those companies, or I have to turn it down.

I have applied for Data Scientist position, and the application status has been changed to "Congratulations, you have been selected for the interview" on March 04, 2023. However, no news after that not even any update to fix the interview date. Is it normal to wait so long? Could anyone please advise. Please let me know any contact number where I can call to query regarding this.

Hey Guys,
Finally, I have received the official offer for the position of Engineer 1 (senior level) at GC 14 level. However, I have noticed that the base salary offered is lower than my expectations. The base salary mentioned in the offer is $130,000, along with additional s of 40% and 20%.
As per the offer, I have been advised to download the documents from the portal and schedule a meeting with HR for any questions or negotiations. I am contemplating whether it is worth continuing the negotiation process or if Aramco may not be open to increasing the compensation package.
Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed in this situation?
