Hi everyone!
I am interested in understanding Aramco's hiring policies with regards to expats having around 5-6 years of work experience. My background is primarily in financial yst, albeit outside of the oil and gas industry. I've noticed that Aramco typically seeks candidates with 10-15 years of experience (based on LinkedIn research) . Could anyone shed light on whether exceptions exist or share any experiences of individuals hired with a similar background to mine?

You’re correct. Usually at minimum 10 years to be hired into a finance role. Maybe a little less if have specialized expertise in high need area and/or you have highly impressive experience/qualifications.
Keep in mind they prefer to hire local vs an expat, so they have to justify hiring an expat. That justification usually comes through having 10+ years of experience.

I have read about a few cases of roles getting cancelled after interviewing because they were planning to make an offer for a different role. This could be your husband’s case as well. Hopefully, you will find out soon. Thank you. Yes hopefully. Recruiter says he will be back in touch but I think the long delay is likely due to Eid? Thanks for everyone’s comments. It’s a good news story and by way of update - our UK recruiter has today advised to ignore email (sent in error) and offer is in progress. |

What makes u think it won’t be Dhahran? There is tons of housing available. I don’t think you have anything to worry about but his relo advisor should be able to confirm.
What’s your husband nationality/country passport?
There are certain nationalities that Aramco states must seek housing outside of Aramco communities.

Most people have that on their offer and it’s just to manage expectations from when camp was full. There were people in the other camps, commuting when there was no space but they are actively relocating now. I’d really not worry about it. |
