Hi,
Wondering if Aramco is still hiring Canadians given the recent issues politically? Secondly, is KSA still issuing visas to Canadians?
Lastly, can Aramco hire on either of applicants passports? If applied can’t has an EU and Canadian passport?

1. Yes, Canadians are still being considered and hired.
2. It's best to apply on passport from country of origin. For example, if you're in Canada and have dual Canadian / German or other EU or UK citizenship, you'll want to come on your Canadian passport.

Thanks StarboyX. I am a bit surprised KSA would issue Visas right now, but I guess Aramco has significant influence over many things. I am a former employee from 2013-2015.

Why would you be surprised visas are still being issued for Canadians?
Canada and KSA still have diplomatic relations, and people are still freely travelling between both countries.
Furthermore, Canada is still issuing visas to KSA and there has been no discussion in media or elsewhere of asking Canadians to leave KSA, and vice versa.
Finally, Aramco is not the only organization in KSA with Canadians; Canadians make up one of largest, professional, expats in KSA.

It seems that Aramco is not preferring to hire Canadians at this time. They rejected my application after interviewing me.

Wonder why would any company specifically state such thing in their rejection letter. One can only assume that Canadians are not preferred at this time for obvious reasons when Aramco can easily attract and get well qualified applicants from other nationalities too. I am glad that I was not long into the process otherwise it would have hurt me more. I was informed of the rejection just one month after my interview. |

I know some Canadian candidates being invited to Houston. Aramco wouldnt pay for their travels, if they dont intent to hire them. Your recruiter should let u know on why they decided not to offer this time.

I requested for a second interview if they were not satisfied with the first but my request was denied at this time. I had a very good experience in the job position. I wish the best and success for all other Canadian Applicants though. |
