Was it the third party recruiter or aramco direct recruiter who approached you? Thx It was for a Mechanical position. Sorry, I would not prefer to divulge any further information considering the confidentiality of the subject matter.

Whatever the real reason for the decision for Aramco, that is known only by the recruiters and/or HR and the hiring department.
Maybe there was a better candidate interviewed that they went with. That same person could rescind the offer and they then come back to you. Maybe by some unknown nuance there was something personally that the interviewers did not like during the interview.
Maybe the position was filled locally and your details are on file for future reference. There is a huge push in Kingdom for Saudi-ization, meaning that ex-pat jobs are less common these days.
Who knows.

Who knows. I had the opportunity to train and interact with Saudis and they were very nice people. I wish the best for them and the Saudization drive.

It seems that Aramco is not preferring to hire Canadians at this time. They rejected my application after interviewing me. Then why would they interview you in the first place?

It would have been better if they hadn't interviewed me for the first time if they were not keen in interviewing me for the second time. After all, the interview was online and it wouldn't have been difficult for them to arrange another one. Anyway its up to them what they want to decide and I have no complaints.

if your interview was online via HireVue with no face to face chat with the hiring manager then I would imagine it must be tough to judge the candidate. I had my online Hirvue experience with one of the recruiter in USA not for ARAMCO last year. It was the recorded questions with no real time face to face interview but they record your live video. They use this online tech for pre-screening purpose. if they feel you are qualified then they ask for phone, skype or face to face interview.

That is not how Aramco conduct interview via HireVue Platform. If you do a simple search on this forum using the keyword "HireVue" then you will get your answer.

CHINOOK,
Would you elaborate what was the means of rejection.? Did Aramco send an email or letter with rejection with reason or just a phone call from recruiter? As you mentioned your interview was through HireVue so I assume it must be through an email from the recruiter. Please elaborate. I also have done interview through HireVue on 11 April. Still waiting for news...
