Is it true that an admission fee of 35BD per person/expat will be charged for entering Bahrain via Causeway and Airport?

Not as far as I am aware, unless it was brought in very recently. A quick web search does not turn up anything confirming this.

When you fly into Bahrain and are going to KSA, you pay 20SR or 2 BAH dinars as you go through passport control.

I saw something in FB yesterday, but the news article was in Arabic, and I don't know which paper it was in, but it said the fee would be 25 BD (250 SAR). I think it's still a rumor though...nothing official yet.

I don't know where they copied that info from. But, I did find that those fees are what is listed on the evisa.gov.bh website for arriving through the airport. www.evisa.gov.bh/VisaBhr10En.html

The evisa website clearly states it's not for valid for travel via the Causeway and only for those arriving to the country through Bahrain's airport.
Maybe we are exempt? Seems the sensible thing to do...

Neither of the BNA news articles indicate that any of the fees or increases would apply to travel via the causeway. Anyway, we're planning on going over to Bahrain during the Eid holiday so I guess we'll find out then.

I just came back from Oman through BAH and they charged me 2 BDs per passport.
I asked about the new fee and one officer said "not yet".

The latest update from Bahrain is the fee does not apply to Causeway travelers; it is not clear if this will apply to Bahrain airport arrivals who are destined for Saudi Arabia via the causeway.
