Hi all I heard that October is the cutoff for annual allowance. what that mean? is it meaning that if someone joined after October then he will not be paid for November and December of 2014 or what? This made me really nervous in addition the long journey I had since June 2013 I am really struggling to move before October (with my current slow and careless RA) , my passports was already with Saudi embassy since 25th of Aug. They have approved the visa and will be issued maybe tomorrow as per my local agent. The thing is that my slowest RA ever don't want to start the process although the local agent assured her that my visa was approved but she insisted to see a scan copy of it. I am really worry about my kids school too and don't want them to lose much times as I haven't enrolled him her.
Can't wait longer I have lost entirely my patience!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks

As far as I know from previous posts and the relocation guide that October is the cut off date to be eligible for the annual bonus
I am sharing the same frustration with you regarding how are relocation advisors enthusiastic. He is even not replying my emails. may be it is my luck, may be

October 1 is the cutoff to be eligible for annual bonus and its prorated. If your start date is after that date, you will be eligible for the bonus the next year. I'm not sure which embassy your passport went into, but Houston embassy took their sweet time with our visa, took more than 3 weeks of waiting before it was stamped. We called and they said because of the hajj season, they're a bit backlogged.
Fortunately, I've had the pleasure of dealing with the best relocation advisor I could. I imagine with all the new hires, they're really busy with working on each file (and they each have many new hires), so sometimes even my relocation advisor doesn't respond to my emails until she has information. But she always works on my quirky requests I make.
You're almost there, after this step, you will file your resignation letter with your employer and you will be given a range of dates to choose for your flight. I believe you can still make it before then Oct. 1st, you still have some time left. The process is almost done. All the best.

Hi Fsaeed81 the bad thing here is that she told me it will take 4-5 weeks to be relocated after the visa stamped which mean definitely after the cutoff date. I am really nervous and worry as I don't want 1 or 2 days late making me lose that annual allowance !!

Thats weird but it may be something being dictated by the department ... just taking pot shots here. I figured after the visa, only the final approval is required, which usually is pretty quick. Once the visa comes in, you can try to push the fact you'd like to leave before October 1st. Anyhow, much brighter days ahead, I hope everything else goes smooth for you. Hope to see you in KSA.

Hero55, Are you with ASC or AOC in London? I just mailed my passport today to AOC. How long it normally takes for the visa to get stamped from the moment the passport has been sent to them?

Hi all just got the visa stamped in my passport. RA simply asked me to resign without any additional clearance documents. Is that true ? I am really suspicious and don't feel comfortable to resign. Is it really that's it? I don't have a contract in my hand ??!!
Thanks

Hero55,
We relocated within two weeks of receiving final letter that contingencies had all cleared. This came two weeks after the (individual) visa was stamped. We organised our own shipment and had no notice period at work.

Hero55,
What else are you waiting for? The final clearance letter is exactly that... final clearance. It states that you have cleared all contingencies and should resign. I gave my notice the next day. But I needed to give one week notice, plus I asked for two extra weeks to prepare for the trip. My flight is 3 weeks from when I got the final clearance. But that was my decision, I could have left much sooner.

Maursh, This is exciting to hear. I didn't realize that there was a final clearance letter. We've made preparations to go as soon as passports are stamped, but currently waiting on Visa le. Yours is the fastest relocation timeframe I think I've seen on this forum.
I am self employed so no requirement to give notice at work. We're taking cash in lieu from the US and planning to throw the mother of all yard sales to get us down to three checked luggage items a piece (me, spouse and two pre-k children)once we get the green light:)
-Was it difficult to get Aramco to get you there within two weeks or was that within the window your relo. advisor gave you to make the move?
-Others have talked about your relo advisor giving you a window if dates to choose from for your relocation. How much sooner do you think Aramco could have sent you, or is it just a question of them buying tickets and you getting on the plane from Aramco's perspective once they send you the final clearance letter?
-Were they willing to book flights as soon as you received the confirmation? Did they let you know the confirmation letter was in the mail?
-Thanks in large part to this forum, I've had answers and information ready to provide to recruiters/relo advisors before they ask for them at each stage of the process(although the contingency packets were quite a bit bigger than expected). From the phone call/letter telling you that all boxes were checked(contingencies and Visas) to getting on the plane, can you share what was discussed with Aramco people and any advice on being ready to help Aramco get you there as quickly as possible?
Thanks!

It is normal to be hesitating when the time comes, I just moved here 2 weeks ago and even the travel day I was wondering if it had been a good decision to resign my job to start this new adventure, all I have to say is that so far it has been the best decision I have made in my professional career. Now the deadline for the annual bonus, let's face it, if you can't relocate before Oct 1st are you going to drop this opportunity? If you feel that bonus is the only benefit of working for Aramco and not having it for this year is a deal breaker then stop your relocation process, if not then just relax as at this point you have no control on the process. Cheers

that is good to say Nemo.I believe most of us who are on the big step to jump in the plane feel a bit anxious and hesitate to move forward.honestly, i have the same feeling.the time has come already as i am waiting for my passport to get stamped. how long you live there? what are you first impressions so far regarding living in ksa, working environment, etc?
