Does any one have an idea as to how many apartments at Dhahran Tower are currently occupied? When I spoke to my AOC relocation advisor recently, she mentioned that People moving in August and September will be allocated aparatment at Dhahran Tower but no informaiton about what will happen to those waiting for visa and will move in later this year? Has Aramco got another facility if these units gets filled?

There are around 30- 35 units filled. Yes, there will be another location available if the DT fills up prior to you arriving. It is under lease negotiations, so no information yet on where it is located.

It's been so quite on DT post the last week. Could you share some of your experience when you get a chance? So this is a stand alone high rise without a Aramco community. I was told to be allocated to this location possibly arriving in Sept.

I was scr..ed and given a 2 bedroom apartment on arrival. Now have my son and daughter sleeping in one room. They are unhappy and my wife is pi..ed. I might end up being here on bachelor status after all. My advice is to get this crystal clear from them before you arrive. Don't rely on the logical solution.

Given many of the people on this forum will probably be arriving after DT is full - does anybody have any indication of what the future housing situation is?
Even a rumour would be useful - i.e another tower or a leased compound? Will help with planning.

o all, I would be arriving tentatively on 13th of September. Job offer says, work location is Dhahran and most probably residence location would be Dhahran as well. I am following this forum and well aware that DHA compound is not the option for me as I will be joining on Grade 13.
Question is, DHA tower can accommodate me if arrive on 13th of September?

Those of us living in DHT can see another apartment building within blocks of the Tower. The "rumour" is that this will be the next housing complex. It looks to still be under construction (possibly final stages). Going through this process I have learned never to believe something until it actually happens...based on my family's experience to date I would say the best advice we could give is "don't spend all your energy and time (read STRESS) about housing until you have final confirmation of where you will be". This changes right up to the last minute and often after the last minute. Do know there are people on the ground, no matter where you end up, who have been in your shoes and want to help you and your family settle and become part of the community you join. The people are the best part of this journey.

Well there are pros and cons associated with each residential community. I hope relcoation advisors are able to share the housing details earlier in the process rather than informing just before departure so that one can prepare and plan accordingly.

Pat1703- how old are your kiddos? I though I read they are putting 3 kids in 2 bedrooms, too. Mine are 13b, 10b, 7girl- that seems like it could be awkward and less than ideal for kids. Sorry about your frustration!!!!

My kids are girl 9 and boy 7. I found out that there are several houses on main camp that are being kept for Teachers, doctors and nurses as well as to have availability for those who are bidding for changing/upgrading.

AOC told me that another block of apartments in the same area from late october / early november. They don't have any further details. They assured me that there will be some place to live when i arrive!
