o everyone. My wife and I just arrived to Rakah on Saay the 18th, so we're here almost one week now. We're from Washington, DC and are looking forward to meeting everyone and getting involved in community activities. PM or email me please and let's get together; my wife Zukhra loves Zumba and I'm a fan of running.

If you had read on the forum, before posting, under Living in Rakah, you would have found out all the homes in Rakah are the same and would have read a description and all about the homes.
Please read the posts already on the forum for Living in Rakah.

What is the FB page? I have been here over a week now, looking to make friends and playdates for my three year old.
Also, anyone has information on private nursery in Rakh? IS there one? Does anyone send their kid to nursery outside Rakh? the School in Rakh won't take my son just yet since he had to been three on Aug 31st.

Just know, you must have arrived to be added to the private fb pages. These are not for people who are coming. You must be living here first.
Those are the rules folks!

Good day forum.. I have been browsing the forum for a while.. great information here.. it is much appreciated... if I may inquire about somethings regarding our children...
I noticed it is a mixed bag of whether kids are making/finding friends, etc. their age. We are slated to move in March '15, BI/Medical/Visa Block complete, passports sending off on Monday to consulate for VISA stamps... we are coming from Houston, TX
Two daughter, 10 and 4 One son, 13 months
Please can you all advise if there are other kids on the camp around this age +/-? I saw there was some 12's and some 8's just was trying to hone in somemore.
I do apoligize if I overlooked a similar post in another thread... hope to hear from someone soon...

I am sure you will find kids your daughters ages. When the swim team was started previously, 85 children turned up. There are lots of children, you have to be proactive when looking for something or someone you need.

There are an estimated 400 children school aged and about half again of pre-schoolers on Rakah. Your children will have no problems finding children their own age.

Lots of kids. The theater shows a movie at the community center most weekdays when the kids get back from school and there is a playgroup most mornings with provided toys also in the theater. The pool is also starting to get busier now that things are warming up. Lots of opportunities to make friends

There's lots of kids here from various age groups and there's lots of activities for them as well. There's lots of opportunities to meet new people. Just today we have a meet and greet in the Community center. This Thursday its a Latino Carnival party for couples. There's tennis, swimming and soccer starting again this Feb. Every 430 pm theres movie at the Theatre for kids. There's gym jamboree for toddlers in the morning, short time in the library, coffee mornings on Wednesday. People here at Rakah are extremely friendly and helpful. It's really up to you. Since we arrived in late November, we've been invited to dinner every week and hosted several ourselves.
My advise, come and be open. Bring the kids to the park and let them meet other children.
