Good day,
I am an expat local hire at KSA. I cleared the BI exactly one month ago and I was informed that my demand letter (otherwise known as Iqama transfer letter) is under process. I wonder how long it takes to produce the demand letter?
Update - June 24, 2014
The EED informed me today that my demand letter is ready. It took 47 days.

Hi, Same situation here. I am waiting for demand letter for last 1 month approx. The only feedback I got is "letter is under process". So we have to wait....
Please update once you get your demand letter.

Hey there!
I have been waiting for over 7 weeks now. I sent them 4 reminders during that, and I keep getting the same response: "Letter is under process."
Will surely update you once I get something.

Hi guys,
I am local hire (hired within KSA)as well just I accepted my offer last week.
my HR told me if I do not hear from them within 3 to 4 weeks , I have to send them a reminder.
my question is
how long it took to pass the BI and medical forms checks stage?
What would be the next step in the process after that?
Can you update your progress in here same like the outside of KSA hires?
I will work in PMT, what about you?

mzhassan, the EED today finally confirmed that my demand letter is ready  Processing time was exactly 47 days (since I was informed that I cleared BI and medical). goatlast, going through timelines reported by various members in this forum, it seems that BI and medical processing times vary greatly. For my case it took around 3 months. I will update you with my timeline later today or tomorrow. |

You know our case (KSA local hire) is different than the majority in the forum. So I was seeking someone similar to my case timeline.
Can I ask you, after you got the BI and medical checks clearance, what was the next step?
Did you do any medical check?
What would be the next step for you after getting the demand letter?

Bit-of-Muka: congrats... According to your timeline, i think I have to wait for another 15 days.
If I am not wrong, you will be travelling to eastern povince to collect it?

I already cleared BI and Medical. Waitting for demand letter for more than a month.
What would happen after receiving the demand letter? What would be the time frame to join Aramco?
All of these questions I couldn't get answer from my Relo Advisor he keeps silent

It took 6 weeks to get a demand letter
Soon after that I submitted my resignation and got the release letter.
After submission of release letter to aramco, another 1-2 weeks are required for transfer the sponsorship.
In my case, it took 4weeks since issuance of demand letter to transfer.
Then you will be given a date to join.

It is 58 days since I have been informed that I cleared the BI and no update regarding the demand letter.
After sending many e mails the only reply I got yesterday after asking them straight question if they still interested on hiring me, the answer is the demand letter is under process and as it will be ready the will contact me.
What a long time for a letter?!!

I have been waiting the 'demand letter' for more than a month and only thing I heard from the Aramco side was there was some technical problem to submit the demand latter. Not quite sure whether Aramco system or government system. I tried to contact the person in charge in Aramco to ask about the situation. However, no luck.

Could you please check is there any technical problems on issuing demand letter? If so, is the problems have been resolved or not?
