Hi all I am thinking further ahead assuming that I finally get my visa and relocated to KSA. I am really worry that my wife and 2 kids -who are not allowed to apply with me and i should apply for them upon arrival- will wait the same time I waited for my visa block. So I will stuck and stay single for very long time. It is really high risk for me and still don't know if it is really worth it !!?, I am waiting since October 2013
cheers

Charles Darwin, there is not a problem between Aramco and the government. aramco has some people get their visas within a month also. There are companies throughout KSA whose new employees are waiting just as you are.
Your timeline is normal.

I and one fellow Canadian have been speaking about the situation locally...no further word from Houston re: visa block, however, I have received email instructions directing me to arrange a redo of the medical and he has been informed that he will be flown to Houston for the same purpose. Medicals (other than vision and x-ray) expire after 90 days. I am hopeful that the decision to request the redo at this time is indicative of the impending visa delivery. Hopeful but not truly "sold".

Appreciate the heads up. We aren't being told anything but I had to request our passports back because I have to travel out of the country

o everyone,
My visa medical expired on March 19, 2014, and after corresponding with my RA this morning it looks like I will be travelling to Houston from Canada during the third week of April to complete a new set of visa medicals.
I would encoue anyone else with expired visa medicals to get in touch with their relocation advisor to redo the tests, as the last thing you will want once the visa block finally comes in is another delay from having to redo the visa medicals last minute (which I am told can take up to one month to process once completed).

o,
My visa medical expired on the 10th of March but I've already done a new one on March 11. Visa medical are indeed valid for 3 months, and after that you'll have to repeat the blood tests, x-rays are valid for 6 months so there's no need to repeat that.
Best of luck to you all, we are all waiting for those visa blocks to be released.

Hi All, I'm new hire as Petroleum eng wating for my visa block since December 2013. Medical examination was cleared in January 2014 and since then I'm still waiting for my visa block like every body in this forum. I spoke this morning with my RA and she doesn't have any update and she can't explain why all this delay . Could you please state in your future post your job position just to have an idea if there are other PE waiting for their visa block and know the occupation of everyone in this forum. The only advise is patience, patience, and a lot of patience Good luck to all.

David_and_Nita - when you get your passports back could you please let me know how long it takes? If everything goes as planned we will be submitting our family's passports around the end of May. We have a vacation planned at the end of July so we're hopeful that we'll have our passports back by then but if not we'll have to pick a date and request for them back. I sure hope that whatever this hold up is with visas gets sorted out sooner rather than later.

Hi all and hopes this finds you well.
I got an e-mail from my relocation advisor in London two days ago, requesting that I renew my visa medical as they are expecting the visa blocks to be out "very soon".
I managed to renew my visa medical yesterday as the medical centre had an available slot.
I don't know how soon is "very soon" and I'm not keeping my hopes up too high this time around to avoid disappointment like what happened last November.
It has been exactly six months now since I received the official job offer from Aramco.
Will keep everyone posted for new developments as and when...

I have been told that 'feedback' regarding visa blocks is expected at the end of the month. Ridzuan, as you say, it's probably not a good idea for us to get our hopes up. Still, I'm hoping for the best!
