I got confirmation that my contingencies are cleared and have to wait for visa block. I have my degree and certificates already attested. How long will it take for a visa block and potential joining?

Hi Wovers,
just i wanna shared some information regarding to the Block Visa .. acoording to my Relo in ASC .. they said: don't expect to receive any Block visa until second week of August due to Ramadam.. Anyone have the same information?

Looks like the forum was down for some time...
I was just wondering if anyone has received any updates from their relocation advisors recently as to the timing of the next visa block release? After speaking with my relocation advisor, it seems as if the soonest the visa block processing will resume will be Sunday August 3rd which is when offices open up again after the Eid holiday.
Would be interested if anyone has heard anything otherwise, and any contribution of new information on the visa block release in general would be quite welcome...

I would not expect news on the visa block release within the next couple of weeks since there's a lot of people on holidays already and everybody will be during Eid.
So if we get some news by the end of the first week of August on in the second one that would be great.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but my advice is don't get your hopes up too much through the end of August. It's still Saudi school vacation, so lots of folks taking holidays in the government and in Aramco. Plus, it's unbelievably hot and that seems to have a bit of an effect on how efficient some folks are.

Last visa block release was in the end of June, during May and June things went pretty smooth with at least 3 visa block releases.
Still there is a lot of people waiting for those visa blocks for more then 6-9 months, some for almost 12 months.
I guess we probably will get a visa block release in August and another one in September that will solve all the new hires waiting for long time now.
But that's just my guess... who can really say for sure...

Hi Fellow Wovers! Any news lately? Everything is quiet, except I've heard from my RA that the earliest that we can hear a new block release would be on Aug 3., I'm keeping my fingers crossed but afraid I might get disappointed. I was interviewed last April 2014 and waiting for the VISA since then so I guess my timeline is normal. Quick question, does a block contain a mix of nationalities or is it a particular block for each? Are AOC and ASC the only enies where the blocks are released? Who handles cases from Asia? Keep the hopes high and hope that the veteran Wovers finally get theirs. |

I am following the forum since I was interviewed at AOC in London but this is my first post.
At the moment I am also waiting for the visa block. I was very terrified when I read at the forum that this could take from few weeks up to months!!! :shock:

o Jayson,
To contribute - I was also told by my relo advisor the soonest a block will come is early August (due to Ramadan).
Brief Timeline - I interviewed early Feb 2014, accepted offer mid-March, completed medicals June 30, and now I'm just waiting on the le like everyone else!
I really hope a visa block is released soon. As I have a vacation planned for Nov (already paid for!) and just recently learned I must complete the iqama process AND the multi-entry visa process BEFORE I can leave Saudi for vacation... this is getting a bit scary. I hope I am not forced to delay my arrival.

Don't expect anything to happen this week.
I was yesterday at the contractant office regarding my Iqama.
Arrived June 30th and left my passport with the Aramco officer at the Airport.
My passport arrived at the Al-Fifa office in Dhahran on July 13th.
They told me the same week the government system was down and they could not apply.
Last week was last week of Ramadan and, as I understood, government services were close.
This week were Eid celebration and work started at Aramco only yesterday again, but government people are still not working.
Only on next monday will normal work schedule for government people resume and - hopefully - they will set their systems up and running again.
Therefore no visa block to be expected as well before mid of August.

Thank you for your information atactic. Good for you your dilemma is over. How is everything there? How are you adjusting to the new environment? So the latest we can expect news is on the 3rd week?
