Hi All -
I was speaking to Aramco's visa agent in Pakistan today, and he was telling me that visa blocks are not issued by name. But rather its literally a visa block or visa le that is issued. e.g. it would say that visa can be assigned to 3 engineers and 2 accountants.
And then Aramco's HR assigns the allotted visa blocks / les to individuals.
Is this true?
This would mean that Aramco does have some level of control on when visas are allocated?
I mean if they get 10 visas issues for engineers, then it is up to the team at Aramco to allocate / assign the received les to people they wish?
The chap was hence explaining, that for example if my hiring manager needs me urgently he can get Aramco's HR to prioritise my case and assign me a visa le as soon as one is received!
Also that generally visa les are received every week and in lots of 20 or 30 per week.
If someone can please help clarify this process...
Thanks !

Visa blocks are not issued by name. They have 3 line information, from what I'm aware: Profession - Nationality - Point of Origin Mechanical Engineer - German - London, UK .

erdna_oaoj, Yes - that's what this guy was explaining to me as well.
So I guess, Aramco can prioritise an applicant's case...

Hi guys, finally received my VISA BLOCK last Thursday! Ironically - it was EXACTLY 1 year after my intial contact with Aramco! But surprise for me is that instead in Bahrain (where I am working at the moment) I need to apply in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).... so now, I have to put chase here in Bahrain to stamp my Medical and to courier my docs to Bosnia.... But finally, its OVER!!!! I think I will have a nice vacation in July, and join in August Cheers, and don't forget to invite me for a BBQ @ Abqaiq See you soon!

I don't think Aramco can't actually push for your visa le to be release faster. Both nationality and position are related. Maybe there are a 100 engineer les released, but if none if your nationality nothing else can be done but wait

Congratulations Boban my bro!
I received my final clearance letter / e-mail from AOC London today, informing me that I have cleared all contingencies.
My case is a bit different from most of you all, as my relocation advisor chose to inform me that I have cleared all my contingencies after I got my visa stamped in my passport.
Like I said my earlier posts, no two cases are the same and it depends on the work style of each relocation advisor.
I'm now waiting for my flight ticket to be issued. ETD to KSA - last week of June, hopefully before Ramadhan.
Cheers...

Great congratulations to our big Boban. I am really happy to hear that you have got your visa as well as to finally know that you are from Bosina (by the way all of the best in your team 8n the world cup)
now the main challenge is that the AOC is really silent and for me I haven't heard from them since the announce that my visa block is released.
Let's wait and all of the best to other who are still in the queue.

Congrats to Boban and Ritzkool!! Looks like Hero55 and I might be the last of the "WOVers" (waiting on visa). (I was also offered in Sept., and was ready to go in December.) Happy travels and best of luck to you! Tip: Since there is no drinking or eating in public during Ramadan be sure to suck it all up on the plane while you can. See you in "two weeks"!

Does any one know the frequency at which these visa blocks are released? Is it once a month? Multiple times a month or can be issued any time?
