Hi,
Anyone have any update on the requirement of foreign degree attestation from Saudi Embassy and Culture Center in the countries where the degree were earned?
My BI and Medical were clear last month and I am waiting for the Block Visa le. Then ASC will apply for the visa. I have in fact submitted the notarized copies of my degrees for the visa application but neither I nor ASC is sure it will work or not. So, I wanted to collect information for the worst case scenario if I am asked for the attestation.
I am a Canadian citizen and have two degrees one from Europe (Masters) and the other from Pakistan (Bachelors). This seems one of colossal hurdles in the whole process to me since getting degrees attested by Saudi Embassy in the countries where you do not live anymore is really very cumbersome. I believe in some cases, it may even be impossible or impractical.
Anyway, anyone here wants to share his / her experience of degree attestation from Pakistan and Europe?
Thank you in advance,
Newfie

Hi Newfie,
I am an Irish passport holder and my degree is from Turkey. Aramco UK gave me the contact details of an agent in Turkey and requested me to send the original of my degree for attestation. I asked the agent if I could send a copy of the degree rather than the original and the answer was 'no'. Of course it might be differ from country to country.

Hi Folks,
I have similar problem with Saudi Arabia Cultural Mission (SACM) authentication of US master degree. I have sent them in sealed envelopes transcript and enrollment verification. However, now they insist on another letter confirming that all the credits were taken as classroom training and in main campus. Penn State does not distinguish between online and classroom credits and technically can not confirm, actually they have sent SACM letter explaining situation. The folks at SACM still insist on the classroom/online letter, although Petroleum Engineering master degree via online is not available from Penn State. I have contacted department but still total silence. Any ideas on the solution? Any feedback will help
Regards

Thanks, Kory for sharing your experience.
I know it varies case to case but how much time it took you to get this attestation done?

Hi Newfie,
The agent had told me that it would take 10 working days but for me actually it took almost one month. There was an Eid holiday within that month so that probably had an effect too.

Hi newFie72, I am in same situation probably. I have a masters from Pakistan and another Masters from Europe. For visa they only asked me European degree, as it is the most recent one. I had submitted original, they told me that they will get it verified themselves. Not sure how. For BI, I am told that they are in process to get my Pk degree verified. Honestly, I don't know how. I know there are a quite a few services in Pk who verify the degrees etc. for example dataflow. So, don't worry, getting European degree verified is not a big job for Aramco, Pk degree could take longer time, but they have been doing it and they know how to get it done. Always remember, 's plans are better than yours. Time will come! patience is a virtue.

Hi Newfie,
I am in the same boat. Were you able to get through with notarization only? Also, were you able to find out the process of getting it attested from Saudi Embassy in Pak or is there an alternative? I would have thought you should be able to get it done via Pak Embassy in your Country and perhaps, if needed, Saudi Foriegn office in the same country can do another verificiation. For that reason, we have embassies outside the countries to provide consular services. I hope i dont have to get it done in Pak as it could take considerable time.
Thanks

I have a medical degree from India and an MD degree from USA. I am almost ready for departure to Saudi, hoping the end of December, waiting on my visa (passport is in embassy for visa I am told). It has been a big hassle to get my indian medical degree attested, a process not yet completed. There are 2 parts to this, explained on saudi embassy website of the respective country (in my case India). Basically, they want the Indian govt. counterparts to verify that my medical degree is original by attesting the back of my original degree. At least 3 different govt. agencies were involved and I finally got this part completed over 1-1.5 months with my dad doing all the legwork. Now, the degree is sent to the saudi embassy (through a private pre approved liaison company based in India) for their attestation. Unfortunately, in my case this step has not been completed because the original offer letter from Aramco came from Aramco services company based in Houston. They were not able to get attestations from the Saudi Ministry of foreign affairs, the saudi cultural ministry and it has to have the ARAMCO SEAL!!. This cannot be done, in my case, unless I am in Saudi physically. Fortunately, this step is not necessary for me to get a visa stamp and travel to Saudi. To conclude, I will get to Saudi as a full paid employee, but will not be able to work there until I have a saudi medical license. I will have to go to my work place but cannot see and treat patients until I have my degree attested from the Saudi embassy in India, which requires my ORIGINAL OFFER LETTER TO HAVE 3 SEALS FROM AGENCIES WITHIN SAUDI ARABIA!! WHEW!!..tired from just typing this out.

o all, This is my first post in this forum. I have been reading this forum for last couple of months and this has been a great source of information. Last week I just got an update that my BI has been cleared and now should wait for block visa to be released. I have one question regarding Saudi culture attestation; Do they accept the attestation which was done long time back or the degree needs to be re-attested ? I have my degree attested twice in 2007 and 2003 by HEC and foreign office in Pakistan.
Is there anyone who went through the same process of re-attestation? I will appreciate for you response.
