Chrismater2000,
o, Ask your Relocation Adviser to assist you with the attestation issues, he/she will help you on this matters. Degree attestation should be done with the KSA Embassy in the country that you obtain your diploma.

Chrismater2000,
I can refer to you my personal experience: the certified copy of my degree has to go over two different Ministries to be legalized and then translated to be attested in KSA embassy. The complication is that I'm living in a different country and to have this done I needed to have a power of attorney drafted for an agent to have all of the ministries errands done, this agent works for a company referred (and paid) by ASC. Hopefully your RA will have someone to help you with this process. In my case it was quite a journey, almost 2 months. I expect people living in the country where the diploma(s) was issued should be easier.
Good luck,
Cgyguy

I am still waiting for offer but want to get all that attestations during that time so I can save some time. Do we have to only get attested our higher degree or both degrees. My degree is from USA so I will have to get that attested from Saudi embassy USA?
What about marriage certificate.

If you're going to be hired as and Engineer for example you'll need to get your Engineering degree attested by the KSA Embassy in the country of origin of your degree. Check with the local KSA Embassy what is the procedure, they will assist you. After you get the documents attested you will need to keep them when you travel for KSA and give them when you apply for your Iqama.

So this mean that we do not need attested degree and marriage certificate for the hiring process and will only required when we get there for iqama purpose. Am I correct?

Chrismater2000,
No, actually you're going to need it also for the visa application for record and approval, but they will not keep the documents, you need to take them with you when you travel to the Kingdom for Iqama application. If you think that its going to take a long time to attest the degree you can start doing it, although your relocation adviser will guide you through the process and give you instructions how to do it. In my case I took care of the degree attestation and the visa medical services take care of my marriage certificate attestation.

Dear razi502
Regarding hec attestation, I've been told (by agents) that if the attestation is more than 2 years old then it should get re attested or reverfied. Apparently this is a straight forward process and take 2-3 days.
Can you plz advice what you've been communicate is required to be submitted to Saudi culture along with your degree for attestation.
Can you plz also read the concern I've raised on he post "degree attestation - need help!" And share your experience / knowledge on the process and where you are with things.
Thanks!

Dear Newfie, one question. You mentioned that you cleared your BI and Medical. How long that procedure took you actually from the moment you had your medical tests? Did AOC or ASC sent you a confirmation letter for that or they just inform you about that? thanx

Either they have changed the Attestation process again, or I am a guinea pig. For my recent degree attestation I was required to get all the documents for them on my own. They asked for an official sealed transcript, a copy of my degree (not the original), and a Method of Study letter prepared by my university. That last one confused the out of my school. Aramco provided me an example letter, and I forwarded that onto my school so they could prepare the letter. I guess the process of Aramco doing this themselves through the embassy was just getting too difficult and taking too much time. It only took me a week to get this paperwork, and I could have got it anywhere in world if needed. So perhaps this is the new direction they are going.

Interestingly, I have a sealed envelope containing my official university transcript (US) sitting on my desk, and my relocation advisor stated that since I provided my unofficial transcript, there would be no need to provide the official copy.
Is my RA correct, or would I be well advised to send in the official copy regardless? I had to pay out of pocket for the official version, so I'd be a bit miffed if it weren't required.
Thank you

Hi,
I had the same request and when I went back to my Canadian University they told me that it would not be possible to provide this information. I graduated back in 1995 and at that time there was no online courses so I was able to argue that, so no further information was required. It is a long process and patience is a virtue.

The SCE told me I had to provide a sealed transcript. That was a challenge but the university came through. I took the wax-sealed envelope down to the SCE and the guy said "just fax it over to me".
