Hi everyone!
We found out 2 nights ago that our visas were applied for on Sept 5th. They did not tell us since we have been on a roller coaster ride.
They used a different le than expected but the manager wrote a letter to go with the le in hopes that it would make sure it got approved.
We are hoping to have good news next week.
The reason they had to "come clean" is because I requested my passport back because I need to fly to Norway for the Oslo marathon on Tuesday.
Hoping our visas get approved so I can fly to Norway. Don't want to miss it since I have been training for it for 6 months.!!
Living on the edge is not for me.

Congratulations to those that received their visas! We are still waiting for ours.
For those of you who have received visas, how much time were you given to arrive in KSA? Do you know which camp you will be relocated to?
Thanks for all the updates, it is helpful to hear others people's timelines and tips!

I have been told that its anyone's guess when the visa le will be coming. I am waiting for it for almost 4 weeks now and during this time was one block that came and it did not have my visa le in it. My joining date in the letter is October 2013 and I don't think I am going to make it. I hope the next one has my visa le .....best wishes to everyone waiting for the visa le.

Hi All,
That is great news that the next block of les are on their way. Keeping my fingers crossed. Today is day 7 for us waiting for our visas. Hopefully we hear soon.
They told us we could fly out whenever depending on how much work notice you have to give. There is another Eid coming up and Aramco does not accept anyone new between Oct 9-14. We are trying to get out of here before that.
We are moving to Rakkah. We have heard it is great. We are super excited about this.
Keeping my fingers crossed for every one who needs a le. We know how it feels. We waited 12 weeks for one. So if you need to complain then complain to me! I will know how you feel.

I have not heard anything but at the moment we are not waiting for a le. From what I know, no one knows when they come. We waited 12 weeks for ours.
We have applied for our visas 2 weeks ago. Our application was sent with the NEW le and a letter from the manager. As of Friday, they have requested a 2nd letter and the manager has a meeting on Monday with the point of contact at the Saudi consulate in Houston to clarify any further questions.
I hope this is a positive. If they wanted to reject us, then they would have just done so. Hopefully this is just some red tape.
If they do reject us for the 2nd time then we will be in the waiting game for a le again for our 3rd le.
If they do approve our visas, we are still trying to get out of here by Sept 30, as benefits do change for anyone who flies out after Oct 1.
Our original date to depart was July 16. This waiting game is so uncomfortable!

My relocation representative was very hopeful that they will receive the visa block this week but it seems they have not received anything yet. Hopefully this week now. We are waiting for four weeks.
Alex,
12 weeks is really long but hopefully you are sorted now. Do you know what benefits will change after October 1st?

o Everyone!
I have also been waiting for visa block number for 7weeks now. My reloc adviser originally told me that they would come by end August, now she says end of Sept/early Oct as latest, but things do not seem to be moving at all... BtW I am being recruited from London, but not with UK passport.

Hi,
This is the message we got from our recruiter explaining the benefit change. I think it only applies to US employees.
Yes management recently made changes to certain features of the U.S. Retirement Income Plan (RIP) for salaried U.S. dollar payroll employees who are hired on or after October 1, 2013.
Employees hired or rehired on or after October 1, 2013, will receive an RIP annuity benefit calculated as follows: 2.0% times their highest 36 monthly avee base salary times years of accredited service. The lump sum payment option will be determined using the 24 month avee of the minimum present value segment rates published by the IRS.
Please keep your fingers crossed for us tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day they reject or accept our visas.

Hi Alex,
Yes, it seems the benefit change will only effect US employees.
I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow.I hope you will get your visas approved this time.
I am wondering why it took this long for you; what is your job le?
