g420, thank you for the reply...I wish you safe travels and happy beginnings. Do you have any indication when to expect your passports back? Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is ASC advises you not to quit your job until you have the final clearance letter, but don't they issue that letter after the visa gets issued? in your case if you haven't received your passports and your departure is planned for Nov 28th then you can't even give proper notice to your employer (assuming that you haven't already).
I am just thinking out loud and trying to balance between uncertainty and professional obligations towards my current employer.
BTW, were you given a choice of airline? What part of Canada are you flying out from?
Hope you don't mind my 20 questions!
All the best

Received my Final Clearance letter last Friday and well as my visa. My departure date is set for December 26, flying KLM out of Atlanta. See you guys in Abqaiq. It was a long journey that took 5.5 months from the day I interviewed.

Just an update for every one, as I have been waiting for long time and this thread has helped me a lot. I received a call today that my visa le came through. I am Irish national and accepted the offer on 19th of September. My BI got cleared by end of October. Sent passports to Harley on 6th of Nov.
Good luck every one! I understand how difficult it is to wait.

I am on US payroll. I was told that a visa le was available for me as of Tue, Nov 19th with a caveat. I was told to repeat my bloodwork (within the week), since more than 3 months had passed since my last bloodwork, or else my visa le would go to someone else  , which already happened to me with the last visa block back in September. Luckily, I had just repeated my bloodwork a day before. Thankfully, because of postings on this forum, I was able to remind my RA :? that I needed bloodwork because of the 3 month rule and my RA was then able to arrange the same. Gosh...talk about having to having foresight and being proactive. My RA has promised to send me an email when my passport is sent for visa stamping. Given the history of 'how much I have been kept in the loop' before and that thanksgiving holidays are around the corner in the US, I am somewhat nervous that things might implode at the last moment having to wait for the next visa block !l will keep u updated.

Offer accepted 10/21 - ITC English Teacher (US National)
Looks like I got extremely lucky with the visa le - so my Relo adviser tells me. I had no idea. I'm still waiting for BI.
Also still waiting to see if my wife - who is on an F-1 student visa (Korean national) will be able to join me on the same flight. She wants to travel with me.
