We heard today that a visa block had been received, but that we were not on it. We are in London - non-sterling payroll.

My husband would be on the US payroll. No le came in for him. He signed his offer in August. The BI & medical were cleared in September...
<Update: We found out today (Nov. 11) that a visa le has come in for him or was matched with him.>

Maursh, I'm also in London and non sterling payroll. I didn't hear from my RA today so I suppose that I'm not in the Visa Block that was received today.

Sounds like we are on exactly the same time-scales as you, Sparamco.
August acceptance, Sept Med and orientation - I think they are still doing the BI since things needed to be sent away for attestation.
We asked our ## to keep us informed of when the block came through even if we weren't on it, because I think it's better than no information. I also learned that place of issue of the visa was a field so I figured a non-british, London issue visa might be rarer - but who knows.

On a strange turn of events, my relo advisor told me on Nov. 5 that "Unfortunately, she didn't have any updates to provide for me about my Visa le, a block of Visa les or the distribution of Visa les, and that as soon as she had any related updates, she would be sure to let me know."
Congratulations to those who got their visas this week. Best of luck going forward. If someone else learns something new about the process, please share. We are anxiously awaiting for information - any information.
Cheers to all

Well, there doesn't seem to be many people on here who have had the block visa this week - may not be indicative of course, but perhaps it was just a small one and another will be along sooner than December.

I am in the same boat. also spoke to my RA in the UK today. He said that its safe to assume that the next les won't be out for another few weeks.

Maursh,
That's right and quite similar timeline. Only difference is that in my case BI is already clear. It seems that we have to keep on waiting for the visa block to arrive.

If it helps others gauge timelines, my offer acceptance was in july and I just received my le this week for the next step of visa application.

Touchstone, if you don't mind my ask, are you a Canadian or US payroll?

We will fly on Dec. 19, arriving in-kingdom on Dec. 20. To give a current view for Americans going through the hiring process, ASC received our passports (wife and I, no kids) on Nov. 4 (Monday), and was able to get a visa le and submit visa app paperwork on Nov. 6 (Wednesday). A VERY fast turnaround time, from what I've been reading on the forum. Not sure if it was luck, or if the post-Eid rush has slowed. We are based in Austin currently, and will be relocating to Rakkah. Contact me at jeff.melick@gmail.com if you have questions.

Greetings to all visa le awaiters....I received a call that I was waiting patiently for weeks this morning that my visa le has arrived. I am on US payroll. For those of you who are curious on my time line it as follows:
Accepted offer Aug 15th Medical, BI completed late September
I was told by my ## that the visa approval process takes two weeks and upon visa issuance the final clearance letter will be issued upon which I can give notice to my present employer.
Also was informed that the policy changes of $5000 per car when car is sold upto a maximum for two cars-must be sold to a dealer and be able to provide proof that the car was owned/leased for atleast three months prior
Wish all of you luck that are awaiting your les...I guess patience is the key here. Wish me luck too as I move to another phase in my join date.
Many thanks to all of you that posted your experience, offered tips and given your encouement on this forum without which I wonder how my experience would have been in this long journey

Congratulations, Laselva!
Has a new block been released - anyone else received a le this week?
Jeff - it sounds like you were just lucky and a spare visa le was already available. Most personal visas take 3-5 days like yours did. The wait is for the KSA government to permit a company to hire abroad and the details are quite specific - job le, nationality, place of issue, gender etc. For most hires a specific application needs to be made and this takes months.
