Hi All, I am on final phase of Saudi Visa. As per ASC , they need blank 12 pages in Passport ( 6 left/6 Right facing each other in continuation ). I do not have so many blank pages - I have around 8 pages in continuation . Can other persons share their experience about this passport issue with Consulate in Ottawa. I do not want to go for a new passport.

bsr2go If you have limited pages why don't you just renew your passport early? No problem if you are living in Canada, you just have to pay the premium and it is ready for pick up in 24hrs. Theoretically, it is a reimbursable expense as well. www.ppt.gc.ca/info/service.aspx? ... ada#urgent I have still not heard anything on our visas, 3+ weeks. I am expecting 7-8 weeks as others have experienced recently.

Here's a question for ya:
We have two international vacations planned where we'll need our passports. We get back from the first one mid-May and leave on the second one late July. There is exactly 11 weeks between the two trips. Do you think this is too tight of a timeframe to submit passports?

I am still waiting for my visa and while waiting I have a question
How many weeks time do we get after we get visa?
Is it possible to get 5-6 weeks time?

rockiesCal,
After you will have visa stamped in your passport, you get 3 months valid visa to enter KSA.

Has anyone received their visa les recently? My relocation advisor notified me that my Visa le was applied for on January 14th and I have not received anything as of yet.
I was also wondering if someone might be able to also please give me an update of visa processing times at the Saudi consulate in Ottawa once the Visa le is received?

Visa processing times are quoted on the consulate website, but of course are first dependent on Houston receiving an appropriate le block. I too have been waiting for some time (since late January) and was last advised that a le block was expected last week. That, from what I have learned, doesn't mean that either of us (or any of the others waiting patiently) will have a "le" appropriate for our individual application.
One can only hope.

I believe there must have been a visa block released at the end of January or so as that is when my families passports were requested. Looks like rockiesCal was about the same time as well. I am at about five weeks out from passport submission. The RA did not meet their 'guaranteed' time of a maximum four weeks .

Having recently heard back from my relo adviser, I can tell everyone on the forum that, in Houston, they are also frustrated and disappointed with the delays in obtaining visa le blocks for new hires. I noticed a comment regarding the number of available blank pages and also a question about turnaround times. In response to that, I would encoue everyone to follow this URL embassies.mofa.gov.sa/sites/cana ... yment.aspx to consider the complexity of the process. Recognizing this, it is easy to see why it might take a while -- and we should be thankful, perhaps, that we have experts doing the work for us in Houston -- when the Immigration department or departments in KSA are likely working on the thousands of deportees, hundreds of personnel in Kingdom looking to extend or renew iqamas, etc AS WELL AS trying to get us on-board. Don't get me wrong, I am ticked off as well with the delay. But this is not North America, where we expect immediate satisfaction to every request. May be best to remember that (I am telling myself as well) we are to be guests in their Kingdom and are therefore beholden to the Kingdom both prior to and once there. Finally, insh.
