Hi All,
After a tedious 6 months process, I have finally got the visas stamped on Passports. I am still waiting for the final offer so that I may resign and serve the notice period with my current employers. It has been 2 weeks since the visas were stamped and I have not heard anything from SA or my recruiter. Is this usual? How long does it normally take to get the final offer from SA? I have reminded them that I need to give 2 months notice to my current employer.
I wish to know that what might be the reason for this delay as I have cleared contingencies like BI and Medicals. What shall I do as I am running out of time - Visas will expire in another 75 days??

My opinion, it's the 2 months notice. That takes you into 2013. There seems to be a big push to get folks processed by the end of the year. They move to the front if the line. Next is the need for housing. DH is full, but lots of folks leaving at the end of this year. Again, anything available is going to those most in need. That said, certain staff need twice weekly phone calls to be reminded of priorities. You should know by now if yours is among those.
