Heads up Canadians! Just wanted to alert new Canadian hires that the SA consulate in Ottawa is now requiring a new form, in addition to the original visa app. The form is called "Additional form for employment visa application." I got an email from my relocation adviser today - even though my visa app is already at the consulate, I had to fill out the newly-required form anyway. Every new visa applicant will have to complete the form before the consulate will process visas. The form basically included the following:
1. Name/date of birth/maiden name/place of birth, etc. 2. "Occupation you intend to practice in Saudi Arabia" - it's very important to ask your relocation advisor for advice, since this should match the 'visa le' assigned to you. 3. "List below all employment for the last five years" - make sure this matches your original application to Aramco, for the sake of consistency! 4. "List below all post-secondary insutions attended" 5. "Courses/certificates done online" 6. "Languages spoken or read" 7. "Professional associations you belong to" 8. "Previous military service" YES, we know a lot of this was already covered in our background checks, don't we? But what are you gonna do?
