I have been told to do a lot of research before applying so let me ask a question about a really important topic. I did a search and the posts are over a year old so I thought I would ask and get the most current information.
I kayak and like to fish from my kayak. What are the opportunities to kayak and/or fish like over there? I know it would likely be off the beach, since Saudi Arabia is mainly desert.
Do you need a fishing license? If you wanted to bring back fresh fish for dinner, is that allowed. If fishing IS an option, are there places that sell fishing equipment, bait, the necessities?
Anything else I should know that I missed?
Thanks, John

There are plenty of places to get fishing kit from locally and there are quite a few people fishing from RT beach. As far as I'm aware you don't need a licence and people keep what they catch. Iv been looking In to getting a kayak and doing some fishing from it and iv seen a few people kayaking from RT yacht club

Thanks for the information. I probably should post this question in a more general area too. I know there are several camps.
Take care! John

Officially....there are signs that say no fishing from the beach. However, Ive seen people fishing from the beach. A Kiyak and out there fishing would be perfect. Another rule says now launching windsurfers or jet skis from the beach at RT.....only from the yacht club is it ok.....too many rules imo.
